I know that a few months ago some of the digital channels switched out This TV for Court TV. It looks like that's what's happening here, Antenna TV still exists, perhaps another digital channel in your area will pick it up.
Svenfan1234 05-14-2020, 10:00 PM Must be only your area. I already have Court TV in my area so I'm not losing my local Antenna TV station.

Well if it's gone then there's nothing I can do about it. I'll just have to get the remaining seasons of my favorite shows they play and switch to all dvd's now.
Antenna TV was the only channel I watched. Oh well...at least I won't have to endure their endless Medicare commercials anymore.
Maybe this is a good thing.
stevea 05-14-2020, 11:07 PM The schedule for Antenna TV looks normal here in Indianapolis. I'd really miss the channel, but I sure agree with you about the endless Medicare ads. WE KNOW! We can enroll!
I've kind of gotten in the habit of watching some of their shows on DVD at the same time they air them, like Father Knows Best. Amazing hoe much cleaner, more-complete, and less choppy they are on the DVD sets.

I have season 1 of Father Knows Best and will now have to get the rest of them so I can continue seeing it. But those seasons are so expensive for some reason, so it will take me some time to get them all.
I was really looking forward to Who's the Boss coming in the fall, and now will miss it! Hopefully the airings are popular and the studio will finally release a complete series for it.
But yeah, no more of those awful commercials will be a plus!
TSMIV 05-14-2020, 11:32 PM Antenna TV switched to Court TV in my area in February. Antenna TV is available on another sub-channel, but it's unreliable. Sometimes it's clear and sometimes it's just a black screen.

Thanks for the info. Maybe it'll switch to another channel in my area. I sent them a message inquiring about it and will come back to share what they respond back. At this point they're mostly an infomercial station anyway.
I'll just continue building up my dvd collection now.

Season 1 of FKB has several episodes that are edited to the same length as Antenna TV. The rest of the seasons are full-length episodes.
The prices are really high. Here's the best I found on season 2 and season 3 was the same. Season 2 had only 1 item in stock.

rusty spike 05-15-2020, 02:09 PM My Cozi channel went the same way.
It became hijacked with Spanish TV and informercials for hearing impaired at night.
We still don’t even have Court TV in my area yet, but Escape is now called Court TV Mystery.
cfr1970 05-15-2020, 06:01 PM I don't think it's going to come back and expect it to start leaving other cities as well. In the past year or so, their commercials have become more frequent as well as longer. It reached the point where there was almost more commercials than TV shows.
So maybe it's a good thing and i'll build my DVD collection to the point where I won't need to watch any broadcast TV anymore and only watch DVDs.
Sorry to hear that Antenna TV is leaving your area though.

Thanks MA. I started leaving the TV on COZI channel now. They have Highway to Heaven and Little House on the Prairie during the day and Roseanne in the evenings. Good enough for me while I build the DVD collection.
And there's always the Buzzr channel too. :)

I like BUZZR and COZI as well.

Father Knows Best is available to stream for free on Tubi and Imdb.TV.
Bonniegirl 05-17-2020, 12:15 AM Antenna is still going strong where I am !;) I've been watching a lot of shows on Antenna today !! :)

I think they should change the name cause they don't show any court TV shows!! but i watch it some times!! court TV as just the same channel as escape was! they show the same shows!!
installLSC 05-18-2020, 05:04 PM Has anyone been noticing more glitches on Antenna TV shows? I've noticed a number of times the picture either discolors or reverts to just pink lines for a few seconds.

You need contact few of your local stations ask them to add antennatv
favoriteshow 05-19-2020, 01:08 PM Nexstar owns Antenna TV and many of Antenna TV's affiliates coverage is through Nexstar stations. The ones not include stations owned by Sinclair, Tegna, Scripps and Gray, according to this list.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Antenna_TV_affiliates
Unfortunately, none of those station group holders own any stations in Orlando.
One station I noticed is Antenna TV is carried on the Fox owned station in Milwaukee. Fox owns two stations in Orlando, WOFL and WRBW. The Fox station group has also been more receptive of carrying digitnets like Decades in other markets. So, the Fox affiliate or its sister station might be a good place for a new home.
Here in Philly, Nexstar owns WPHL, so Antenna TV won't disappear but the channel is so compressed in picture quality, because WPHL and WUVP share a channel, RF 17, and all the digitnets from WPHL and WUVP are squeezed in as well. Couple that with the horrendous commercials, the channel is barely watchable, but I have to say their lineup is better than some of the other digitnets.

Yeah, the commercials on Antenna TV were getting so bad it was really ruining the channel for me. About a year ago they started adding extra sets of commercial breaks and cutting into shows when characters are in mid sentence. It was that bad!
It's almost a week now and I don't even miss it. I discovered Decades channel and they play The Lucy Show which I really like and The Donna Reed Show which I never saw so this is a great alternative to Dennis the Menace and Hazel which i've seen cycle over dozens of times by now.
I already have the whole series of Bewitched, Jeannie, The Facts of Life and All in the Family on dvd which I pop in at night so I don't even need Antenna TV anymore.
I just need to get Father Knows Best, One Day at a Time, The Jeffersons, and Barney Miller complete series on dvd and i'll never need to watch broadcast TV ever again and say goodbye forever to those endless Medicare and Final Expense commercials!
favoriteshow 05-20-2020, 04:38 PM FETV also airs Father Knows Best, Hazel, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie, sharing overlap with AntennaTV that way, and that channel is nationwide on Dish Network, even in the low Flex Package and AT120.
But a Dish Network subscription can be pricey after the second year, but just mentioning it as an option. Both FETV and AntennaTV air one hour block of Father Knows Best at the same time, 9am Eastern. As mentioned though, that show is available online. Hazel, however, isn't easily available on other outlets besides Antenna and FETV.
FETV doesn't have the sophisticated on air look like METV, or even that of Antenna TV. Actually little to no network feel of the station, besides the logo.
It'd be great if it got on Sling, which Dish Network owns. But, the network dropped Mary Tyler Moore and Bob Newhart Show, for The Lone Ranger and Wild Wild West, which are odd replacements in my opinion. Lone Ranger is very very old and I think it's public domain content. FETV is just okay of a classic tv channel, lower than that of MeTV or AntennaTV, in my opinion, but its commercials not as jarring as Antenna TV.
As for The Jeffersons, it's on Decades, but it's also on TV One, and commercial free with a Starz subscription.

Why are they doing that?
favoriteshow 06-01-2020, 05:03 PM Why are they doing that?
Not sure. Antenna TV is owned by Nexstar that also owns WGN America.
So a few viewers call into local stations, maybe if lucky gets someone, but one who has no idea what they are asking, and then, advises the caller to call their cable provider. Cable provider has no real way of making it happen.
Really, Nexstar needs to get a deal with FOX, i.e. extend the similar agreement it has in Milwaukee to Orlando.
It also needs to get WGN America on a couple other IPTV providers besides AT&T TV, and maybe a national feed version of Antenna TV for at least Dish subscribers who have no local affiliate. MeTV has this arrangement with Dish.
AMackII 06-02-2020, 04:20 PM To Me, It’s Not because my city still got Antenna TV on Spectrum Digital Cable.
merlinjones 06-07-2020, 09:52 PM Bewitched and Jeannie need to move back to Me-TV
favoriteshow 06-09-2020, 06:19 PM If you have a Roku device, you can watch Bewitched (first four seasons) and most of Jeannie on the Roku Channel. Its On Demand but it's actually less commercials than Antenna. Almost as good as DVD. (No changing inputs/discs) though 3 short commercials in the middle.
Bewitched and Jeannie also run on FETV (cable/satellite).
TVFactFan 06-10-2020, 12:16 AM This is the main channel for Retro TV and I would probably be depressed if it left the philly area. Me-TV sucks

MeTV has more westerns and dramas while Antenna has more focus on sitcoms. I like them both.
Nexstar owns WPHL and owns Antenna TV as well.
Either Nexstar would have to sell WPHL and the new owner decides other content for the subchannel space, or Antenna TV would have to fold or be sold. So, probably low risk Antenna would leave Philly.
I have wondered though if FOX could buy WPHL, to duopoly it with WTXF, and force Action News at 10pm out the door to boost the local FOX news at 10pm. Like how WWOR 9 was acquired, and the 10pm news on 9 disappeared. Still likely low probability Antenna TV would be dropped though in Philly.

Decades is a lot better than ME-tv and is now right behind Antenna TV
AntennaTV is till in Northeast Pa., along with MeTV. Our cable provider doesn't have the Heroes & Icons station, which apparently is a sister channel of MeTV. Also, no Decades (our cable is limited, though, too).

I found Decades by an accident. Comcast never lets you know when channels are added or removed, just send you the bill
MRPITT 06-10-2020, 09:42 PM Antenna TV is still on in Southern California. AntennaTV is 5.2 and Courttv is 5.3.

Since Antenna TV left, i've discovered the Decades channel and really love it! When I turn on the TV in the mornings now, i'm greeted with The Lucy Show, The Donna Reed Show, and Family Affair.
I've only seen The Lucy Show before so those other two shows were quite a nice discovery for me and I wound up loving them both. Then at 1pm comes "Petticoat Junction" which is another new one for me that i've never seen before that's also good.
So I don't even miss Antenna TV anymore and since I have the dvd's of Bewitched and Jeannie, I can pop those in anytime to revisit them.
It's actually been a nice change for me and seeing Lucy first thing in the morning always helps to ensure a happy rest of the day for me.

Only one small issue is their 12am to 3am schedule. Kind of weak but it picks up again after 3am all the way to 11pm the following day

Coincidentally they are both programmed and distributed through Weigel.
If one likes westerns like Bonanza and Gunsmoke, or likes of Matlock, then MeTV would be preferred also.
Atleast for the sitcoms and primetime programming especially, I do wonder why MeTV doesn't change it up ever.
For example, Hogan's Heroes at 10pm/10:30pm. Why not try it at 9am/9:30am for a season. It's almost as if they are afraid that they would be pushing the limits, and creating a revolution with programming changes.
TV Guy 06-11-2020, 01:55 PM Are the shows on the Roku channel uncut? I know they have commercials. But I’m curious if they run the original length.

I think so. They seem to be original length. I’ve been watching Dennis the Menace some on there.

Me-tv rarely airs any sitcom beyond 1970
HarryWild 06-11-2020, 10:15 PM Ugh, probably not. The ratings for the subchannel Antenna, Coze and Decades network are near the bottom but still it are making money. It too bad not many viewers tune in. MeTV is #1 for the subchanels! I only watch H&I channel for action and Star Trek and Comet for sci-fi. Charge! for Walker, Texas Ranger.
HarryWild 06-11-2020, 10:23 PM Just get an over the air flat sheet antenna! I get 80+ channels and with wi-fi for YouTube! you could spent several years just watch TV series and movies free!

Thanks. I just tried it and when I enter 10 nothing happens. The channel doesn't even change and stays where it is. And when I go up the channels manually, it goes from 9.3 straight to 15.1 with nothing in between.
Oh well. I'm getting into Decades channel and it's a nice change anyways. There's a Monkees marathon this weekend that i'm enjoying. :)
And I have most of the dvds of my favorite Antenna TV shows anyway, so it's not too big of a loss to have it gone.
