So far we know we have "Facts" friends here from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Italy. If anyone else is from somewhere around the world, say hello! This can be a fun "United Nations" place for "Facts" fans to converge and get to know one another and each other's countries. :)

I'll share some of my passport from Disney World's EPCOT Center park in Florida, America.

Here is my passport, passport pouch, and travel button! It was fun getting the cast members who were native people from their homelands to sign my passport, and then later I got to put the stamps in. :)

Fun fact: The UK and Italy pavilions at Epcot are pretty much the same as they were in the 90's (atleast before the closure of all theme parks during the Pandemic) the only big difference is they added another restaurant to the back of Italy pavilion. If I decide to come to America, what State would you recommend me? Florida or Michigan? You can include other States. By the way, where do you live?

If you're going to visit only a single state, and the choices are only Michigan and Florida, you can rule out Michigan.

Florida has so many beautiful places: crystal-clear beaches along the southern keys; the amazing Everglades with endangered Florida panthers; fun cities like Miami and Ft. Lauderdale; Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World in Orlando; endangered manatees in the center of the state; and so many other things. If you go to Florida, you will have fun.

Michigan is the buckle of the Rust Belt. Your choices are: you could get mugged in Detroit or get lead poisoning from the water in Flint.

But there are many other fun states to visit, so if you have time: Tennessee has many cool things, and I remember visiting as a kid with much fondness; all of the cities there are fun: Nashville, Memphis, and Chattanooga all have entertaining things. Illinois also has some really neat places, both in Chicago and elsewhere, and it is a real city. Last year, I revisited Wisconsin, and that was a lot of fun, too. And the District of Columbia is also really cool, just for the capitol, the history, and the weird diagonal streets. Hawaii is another great state where there are so many things to do. Each US state is the size of a European country, so there will be plenty of things to explore in most states.

Avoid: Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Nebraska, and Michigan's lower peninsula.

Wow Retro! So many beautiful places. I've never heard that Michigan is so bad:confused:

Every state has its charms, so there must be wonderful areas in Michigan. And probably your relatives live in a very nice area, far from Flint or Detroit. But Michigan cannot compare to the awesomeness that is Florida. It is like visiting the Caribbean, the American South, and Latin America all in one. I loved living there. Some highlights for me were my girlfriend and I paddling a canoe through the Everglades and around Sandfly Island (https://npplan.com/parks-by-state/florida-national-parks/everglades-national-park-park-at-a-glance/everglades-national-park-paddling/everglades-national-park-sandfly-island-canoe-trip/) in crystal clear, very shallow water where we could see every fish on the bottom; visiting Lake Manatee State Park (https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/lake-manatee-state-park); going to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale and the amazing beaches; and all of the cool restaurants.

I have been to nine European countries: Ireland, Great Britain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. Finland was my favorite. But I'd love to visit the Mediterranean countries, as well: Italy is a must!

Mexico was the very first country I had signed in my passport (Mexico is the first country you visit, if you go from left to right). In the restaurant there with the boat ride there were two Mexican señoritas at the cash register. I vividly remember I asked one of them to please sign my passport, and she looked at her friend with a sly smile and said, "I like to be the first to sign!" with a giggle, haha.

It says "Welcome to Mexico and thanks for visiting us. I hope you come back soon." And then I think it says "Tu amiga", for "Your friend" (a bit cut off), and whatever her name is.

It says "viele grüße" (many greetings). Not sure what the bottom part means.

Ah, thanks, that's 1 more word than I got. I got "viele" but couldn't quite make out "grüße".

I believe next is "aus der lad", "from the country" (if you make "lad" "land" instead, though I see no written "n"), maybe "of the Nutcracker"???

France is easily the best pavilion in World Showcase. One sit down restaurant, a signature restaurant, a counter service, an ice cream parlor, multiple shops, a film, and coming soon a new Creperie AND a trackless ride themed to the movie Ratatouille

Don't worry: I can't tell the difference between a northern English accent and a southern English accent.

The American and Canadian accents are similar. In fact, I think a northern American accent (like, say, from Ohio) is more similar to a Canadian accent than a southern accent. We can tell because many Canadians say "house" and "out" and "about" (and similar words) with a very rounded "oh" sound.

I also cannot tell the difference between an Aussie and NZ accent. They sound the same to me.

Hi Retro i know what you mean about the Aussie and Kiwi accent: i cannot tell them apart either (only the South African accent because it's kind of thick and very different from others)......

Thank you for your explanation thought!!!:cheers::cheers:

Hahaha! I know the pics are too big, idk how to resize though.

Simply open the image in any image editing program, such as MS Paint. Then click "Resize" and in "Percentage" type something like 50 (to reduce the size by 50%). Then save the file as Resized X.

Yeah a raft ride would be cool too.

A raft ride would be perfect, and there's plenty of space.
