What do you think of what the reaction of Lisa, Kim, Mindy was to the Great Purge between the summer and fall of 1980? Other than that they probably were glad that they retained their full time jobs.

Mindy so far had the most to say about it in that her "soul sister" Felice got a bum deal.

I can't imagine Lisa would been happy with all the girls her age gone and only will be appearing in a few episodes a few season. We've seen plenty of pictures of Lisa, Julie Pie, Felice and Julie Ann together off set. Lisa and Julie Pie went back even farther with the New Mickey Mouse Club of course. Now she all she has is an 11 and 14 year old to associate with and who knows about the new girl that they were talking about.

Don't forget that Mindy also said they showed up to the table read for season 2 episode 1 "and it was like, 'Where'd everybody go??' "

I bet Lisa was pretty bummed over losing her Mickey Mouse Club buddy and established Eastland "frienemy". I thought it was sweet when asked about Molly that she said it was hard losing Molly, and the other girls, too (which Kim agreed).

Kim was so young, she was probably sad, but also either felt or was influenced to feel that she was damn lucky to have been kept on, being the only black member of the cast.

Kim's book talks about the Cast Purge.

She stated that she was very close, like a sister, to Julie Pie, "only one sister was white and one was black."

She relates a story about Felice and Baryshnikov, and then talks about the Purge.

She says it was a hard change for her, going to the studio school full of students to it just being her and Nancy. Mindy still attended Westlake and Lisa had graduated early. She said she quickly grew close to Nancy, as they were now the only ones together.

At the Paley fest, a fan asked the Core Three (Kim wasn't there) if it was awkward working with the Lost Girls during S2/3, and Lisa said no. She said she'd already been close to Julie Pie and had worked with her on the New Mickey Mouse Club. Nancy also said no, but added, "But maybe we're not the ones to be asked." She also stated that "All the girls, even the ones who didn't stay on" were wonderful.

Julie Pie has happy memories of her time with Philip McKeon and Nancy, hanging out at their new house in Burbank, and mentioned that "all of us" hung out there.

Molly clearly did feel awkward/upset. Felice said it felt like "a rejection".

Yeah, it's really nice. They've been friends for 41 years, now. Crazy to think of friendships lasting that long.
