Leave the pre-21st century classics alone! The original Head of the Class was a great show for the four Howard Hesseman seasons, no remake could come close to that quality. Shame on these hack producers and "creators" who can't come up with their own original ideas. :mad:

I recall one article from a couple years back that said a reboot or whatever was in discussions.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the original characters in their roles- perhaps in the education profession themselves.

I'd watch a remake.

I have zero desire to see a remake. If the idea was to make a new show that continues from the original and shows the lives of the characters today, that might be of interest- but it would not likely be feasible as it would be hard to find a realistic reason for all the original students and teaching staff to regularly convene.
That's something that might work better as a reunion TV-movie with the students literally at a reunion or something like that.
In any case, it's likely that this new redo version helped spur Warner Archive to release Season 1 of "Head of the Class", which I will now have to specify as the original series, to DVD- so I'm glad for that!:):cool:

One suggestion that I just read (http://comforttv.blogspot.com/2020/06/purchase-or-pass-head-of-class.html#comment-form) is that if there's going to be a new version of Head of the Class, then it should be a sequel to the original. Here, there would be new genius kids getting a teacher who was once one of them, like Simone.

That's what I hope this is. They could bring in cameo's every so often while telling new stories.
