3 Hours was a little much of Gilligan's Island on Sundays.

Three hours to fill! I wonder what they will be putting on ? I hope some I Love Lucy !:) I remember Lucy being on Sunday after noon before they started the Gilligan three hour tour ! They didn't show 3 hours of Lucy though, I think Different Strokes was on too and I forget what else ?;)

I tried looking to see if there was any info on what could be replacing it, but couldn’t find anything.

Before I put on my party hat to celebrate I also want to know what they're going to replace it with. If they go the route of other USED to be classic TV stations and start putting on shows from the '90's or even the '80s (Buffalo Bill & Newhart the only 2 exceptions) I would be very sorry.

But 3 shows Me TV plays to death, it's already been at the beating a dead horse stage for years, those 3 shows I'd LOVE to see leave FOREVER on Me TV: Hogans Zeros, MUSH, & Gilligan's Dump. I'd be happy to live the rest of my life and never see them again.:D

Oh, Ok !! I kinda thought this ! ;)There was another thread going on that was hinting at Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley ! :cool: Not a big fan of HD but I love L & S , so all is good ! Nice to have some changes ! I love Gilligan , but 3 hours in one day going on for a long time is a little much ! :eek:


I didn't get my I Love Lucy but I will tune in for Laverne & Shirley !;) Even certain eps.of Happy Days I will watch! After all, the love of my life, Michael Lembeck DID guest star on HD , I don't want to miss that ep.!! ;):D

How about this idea? Me TV show some originality and play a couple of shows that have NOT been played to death everywhere on every other channel already? Novel idea? I Love Lucy, by the way is on every morning on Hallmark for marathon sessions for cripes sake and it's also on Me TV every morning at 6:30. Do we really need more endless plays of I Love Lucy on the weekend too?:eek: I Love Lucy is good, but nothing's that good.

My novel thought would be they show a couple shows that you never or hardly ever see, just once, if not for any other reason than it would just be nice to see them ONCE:

Your TV suggestions sound good !! :) I am all for some obscure old TV shows to be shown on METV ! ;)

I love Baretta , but I don't think that it will ever be shown again on TV being that Robert Blake's wife was murdered and even though he was found not guilty , there is still that doubt and speculation and well I don't think Baretta will ever be shown again on any Retro channels do to this ! :confused:

Yeah, and Dawn Wells ( Mary Ann) was a spokes person for the Summer of Me lots of times ! Gilligan's Island seems summer ish , I wish they weren't taking it off completely, just cutting down the 6 eps.to maybe 1or 2 on Sundays !! ;)

I never heard of Dickens & Fenster ? I have seen Love that Bob, Bob Cummings and Ann B Davis ! They used to show it on Nick at Nite or TV Land back when they used to play old shows ! I like Love that Bob! :)I wish ME would pick it up! Also you mentioned the Farmer's Daughter, that would be nice too ! ;)

First summer not airing on Me TV in awhile, could mean they lost the rights. It would be nice if Gilligan crossed over to Antenna TV.

I've always called it Dickens & Fenster but the real name was "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster". It was a funny show I remember watching as a little kid, I was probably 5 years old. Do you think GI has been in re-run for such a long time because there was/is minimal royalties paid to cast members, hence making it less expensive for networks to broadcast? Believe I read long ago that Dawn Wells was the only actor receiving income from GI. I was a bit young when GI was on first run television, do recall watching re-runs of the show from the early 1970s. It sure has had a long life!

i got all 3 seasons on dvd in my collection thank goodness i can see them anytime i want

I have all three seasons in 1080p HD Blu Ray, commercial-free with complete copies of the reunion movies, cartoons, tv talk shows, movie soundtracks, the original 3rd season theme, episodes on 16mm, soundtracks to the movies, colorized episodes and even the Invisible Woman picture and other Bob Denver stuff like The Good Guys, Dusty’s Trail, Space Nuts and so much more..

Yeah, I can do without those awful, bottom-of-the-barrel, repetitive and insulting ME-TV commercials!

I'm actually watching Happy Days on METV right now, a very early season episode which is really enjoyable! :) As the show went on in seasons it got ridicules IMO , went on way too long !:confused: But the first couple of seasons were really fun! ;)

Well, if true, Dawn signed a horrible royalties deal because one of her fans started a Gofundme page for her last year due to health expenses.

Considering how popular Gilligan's Island is Dawn should be living in a mansion somewhere with help staff! if she was paid at commensurate level to Gilligan's Island's legacy she'd have earned MILLIONS considering she's gotten 50+ years of royalties!
