I was listening to Beaver talk to Wally in Beaver’s Bike about letting him ride his bike to school (sort of funny) and thought he sounded like he did in Wally’s Orchid. Lo and behold the next episode is Wally’s Orchid. “Do you think you might kiss her? If she has a cold you’ll catch it.”

I almost wanted to mute the TV in June's Birthday, when Beaver and Wally were in the kitchen. Beaver was about as annoying as I've heard him there. Go lock yourself in the bathroom for awhile!

Beaver's urgent screeching of "Hey mom! Hey mom!", usually when he's just arrived home and wants to get June's attention, is like the proverbial nails-on-a-blackboard" to my ears.

If I did that when I was a kid, my mother would hurry in panicked, and then probably want to clobber me for startling the heck out of her, and then finding out I just wanted to ask her a stupid question or a frivolous request.

Wally did the same thing. From the front door “Hey Mom, hey Mom!” What is it Wally? I wanted to tell you I picked up your shoes at the cobblers. Hey Mom Mom! ...What Wally?

“I’m going to school.”

Yeah. while Wally didn't screech like Beaver, his emerging teen baritone boomed just as annoyingly.

"Hey MAWM! hey MAWM!". "Hey Dee-yahhd, hey dee-yahhd!"

Could be they'd catch hell from the parents for not trumpeting their whereabouts or their intentions.
