When I found out that the show was finally going to be rerun in Canada, this was the season I was hoping to watch since it marked the appearances of one of my favorite 1950s stars Annette Funicello. I liked her character Gina Minelli in every episode that she was in, except the one which featured Frankie Laine, because the producers clearly cast the wrong Frankie! It should come as no surprise then that she makes the top of my list.

1. Gina For President

Gina runs against her thick-headed boyfriend for the job of student body president at her high school. The task gets a lot easier after Danny hears her perform "Wild Willie", one of Annette's many hits from 1959.

2. Bob Hope and Danny Become Directors

Bob Hope and Danny battle for the chance to direct a children's school play. Bob's kid-friendly monologue is one of the best moments of the episode.

3. Dinah Shore and Danny Are Rivals

Dinah and Danny become a little too involved when they try to help their children sell cookies. Another battle of the sexes episode that becomes more funny and intense as time goes on.

4. Gina From Italy

Gina's first appearance on the show where Danny tries desperately to make her feel at home. Annette sings "Santa Lucia" in Italian in a sad, haunting voice which is beautiful to hear.

5. Linda's Giant

Everyone thinks Linda has gone crazy when she tells them about making friends with a giant. When he finally appears, she is forgiven and that leads to another heartwarming moment that is also great to watch.
