View Full Version : I think METV ran more commercials during Columbo last night than Columbo

It was absolutely ridiculous. One scene, commercial break - on and on. I've noticed MeTV is running more and more commercials lately. They aren't up to Antenna's level and they, thankfully, aren't airing the endless class-action commercials, but they are definitely adding more and more.

I don't currently have METV, but I noticed something similar while watching reruns of "Mom" the other night: the channel I was watching aired so many commercials between segments (five minutes of additional commercials, on top of the usual five minutes of commercials) that the episode didn't end until an odd time, like 11:15.

Now, I have Dish Network, which allows me to fast-forward through commercials if I've paused the show, but even fast-forwarding through three segments of commercials, two being five minutes long and one being ten minutes long (on a show that is only 20 minutes long) seemed excessive.

They do show a lot of commercials. So annoying, especially when you're really getting into a show
