I noticed that TVOne made some changes to their schedule recently, and here are the changes:

.The Cosby Show is now gone from the 11:00 and 11:30 PM time slot, and in its place is the following:

Mondays: Fatal Attraction

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: Good Times

Fridays: Family Matters

The show was previously seen in the evening, and it is now shown at 8 and 8:30 AM.

.Good Times has been moved to the early morning timeslots

.What's Happening Now!! is now on the schedule in the mornings

I looked at the TVone schedule in months but having Good Times in The Cosby Show’s now old 11pm hour ET slot during the week is an ok move for TV One since Fatal Attraction is on Monday as you mentioned.

I agree with you.

TVOne is showing a Janet Jackson marathon of Good Times episodes that starred her:

Should have left it off the schedule if they are going to air it at 6am.

Or they could’ve moved it to a later time.

I agree. I don’t mind the show, but it does air way too much.

It's been airing consistently on TV One every since 2004, the first year the show aired on that network

Yes in 2004 they aired all the eps UNCUT and I recorded all of them and then as the years went on they started chopping the episodes

Not surprising they ended up chopping the episodes since that seems to be what’s happening for a lot of other TV shows as well.

It is somewhat strange that Philo carries CLEO TV, but not TV One. Both are owned by Urban One.

Recently, Philo added getTV that has Good Times overlap with TV One. That might make it even harder for TV One to stand out if it has programming overlap with getTV. Nonetheless, I wonder why CLEO was chosen and not TV One originally, or why not both, and if Urban One is trying its best to get TV One carried on Philo.

Philo has just added TV One. Philo now has 61 channels. (Hopefully no price increase in the immediate horizon).

It made sense as Philo already had agreement with Urbon One. It was already carrying CLEO TV, which is a sister channel to TV One.

Cosby Show fans that don't want Amazon Prime but have Philo should be glad by this addition. TV One also Family Matters and some other sitcoms.

And still wont get rid of Good Times

What's wrong with Good Times?

It does air on getTV and TVOne, although getTV targets over the air viewers via affiliates first, while TVOne is subscription cable/sat/paid streaming viewers. But since Philo has both networks, there is less distinct value at least with Good Times airing on both networks.

I wish Philo would get FETV. FETV has Bewitched/Jeannie/Hazel/Matlock that is not on any of Philo's other channels. Plus, it'd be FETV's first streaming service if Philo added it first.

I believe LIGHTtv might be easy for Philo to add as it's streaming competitor, FrndlyTV, has LIGHTtv. MGM markets it as a free premium channel. Although Philo would have costs of supporting it platform, programming costs should be free. LIGHTtv has a mix of movies and some sitcoms, like Green Acres.

The only thing I like about Good Times is its theme song. It is a very overrated and overplayed show, I haven't missed Good Times at all from Antenna TV since it expired.

It sucks that they only play one hour of Cosby in the morning now, only to overplay their other shows. I have all the eps on dvd so I can watch it anytime I want, but it'd still be nice to see on TV too. They should air more Cosby show and The Jeffersons, instead of so much Living Single. And while I like FM, they play way too much of it, to the point where you could see the same episode three times in a month. I guess I could say the same for Good Times. They should give some of their other shows more of a chance to shine.

If they're going to play so much FM they should at least keep it fresh by airing 'best Carl episodes' marathons for example, rather than just playing the eps in order over and over again.

With a Philo subscription which is $20/month, it has an unlimited DVR that permits shows to be Saved for 30 days.

So, it doesn't matter the time of day or how often the show runs, but it just needs to be enough.

I remember saving Laverne & Shirley from Logo, and within a few weeks, I had the full series streaming which is pretty cool since that show is not on any streaming services. With commercials, but easily able to fast-forward. I have since cancelled and now just record Laverne & Shirley on MeTV via an Amazon Firecast DVR, and tune in to The Jeffersons on Decades.

Cosby Show is still available commercial free on Amazon Prime (requires membership), or on FilmRise through Sling. (free, but with commercials).

The full series of The Jeffersons (commercial free) is on Starz.

Honestly, I wasn't all that excited for TV One being added to Philo, but I figured it was possible with CLEO TV already carried. I'm not sure though it really helps Philo keep or gain new subscribers but every channel addition like this helps.
