There should be a blocking feature for the politics board and all the game boards. This stuff clutters up the daily topics and it looks like no one is commenting about anything but games and political insults.

Moving all the game threads from the individual boards probably wouldn't help things. There's no single solution that would please everybody. Some folks probably prefer it the way it is now. The games are on-topic for the boards they are posted on.

If people want to see more discussion type threads, they should create more topics. They also shouldn't be afraid to bump up and revive old topics if they have something to add to them.

There are limitations with this software in blocking specific forums. I used to be able to block people from the Politics board by request by using access masks. That no longer worked when I upgraded the software. It wouldn't prevent the threads from showing up in the search anyway though. It would only block the ability to view the threads.

You can block individual forums from View Today's Active Threads or View New Posts by adding &exclude= and the forum id at the end with a comma separating any of the forums. You can add this link to your favorites or bookmarks bar.

You could also create some custom searches for only the forums you are interested in.
