I wonder if the producers and writers ever pondered hooking Zack up with Jessie. I know that they in at least one episode, experimented with having Zack be romantically involved with Lisa but they never really went further with that. And the episode itself, just seemed to be a way to create tension and animosity between him and Screech (since Zack was threatening to take the girl Screech was crushing on away from him).

With Jessie, I don't think that they ever went beyond the whole "just friends" thing. But still, Zack presumably knew Jessie much longer (let's just ignore the whole plothole about Jessie not being in Good Morning, Miss Bliss for a moment) than Kelly so one would naturally assume that they would have more in common. Instead, the writers kept trying to pair Jessie up with Slater, even though they don't have as much in common or are on a level playing ground personality wise.

^^^ They got close with Zack and Jesse when doing the Snow White play episode.

God bless you always!!!

P.S. What I want to know is why we never see Zack and Lisa break up when they got together during their senior year. That one episode where they get together during her trying to get into the fashion school is the only time that we see them together as a couple.

The old Saved by the Bell Reviewed blog for what it's worth, argued (https://web.archive.org/web/20190227055303/http://www.savedbythebellreviewed.com/category/all-the-college-years-episodes/) that Leslie from The College Years (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/SavedByTheBellTheCollegeYears) was originally meant to be Zack's love interest before Kelly joined the cast following the pilot (https://web.archive.org/web/20170111020123/http://www.savedbythebellreviewed.com/category/all-the-college-years-episodes/page/2/).
