As I wait out the coronavirus pandemic, I signed up for a 30 day free trial of CBS All Access, which includes Taxi. One thing I noticed is that the service has skipped a number of episodes including the memorable and funny scene where Reverend Jim takes his drivers text. Other show such as Happy Days and The Odd Couple also skip episodes. What are your thoughts on what CBS All Access is doing?

Touched By An Angel also skips episodes.
I wonder why
I wonder the same thing.

Could it have to do with paying residuals for music or guest stars?

It could be. I know that when Start TV shows Touched By An Angel, they skip certain episodes of the show.

Hulu has quite a few Taxi episodes missing.

I've been baffled by this as well. On Hulu I assumed it was because they wanted to attract people to CBS All Access. I was surprised when I found they had the same (or nearly the same, I don't remember anymore). Taxi wasn't super heavy with guest stars or outside music (though I noticed streaming uses the original music in the Vienna episode and include the scene with Elaine and the guy on the plane singing whereas the DVD excludes it and redubs the score) so it's hard for me to boil it down to that. Very strange. I feel like the streaming quality is better than the discs so it's disappointing not having them all available.

I think CBS All Access are not doing their job by not showingevery episode of each Classic TV show. it was their mistake> Good thing i did not subscribe CBS All Access though.

Perhaps it's a syndication streaming thing. I realize that it doesn't make sense, but I think it's considered "acceptable" to show 80-90% of the total package.
Here's another example: Forensic Files
Every streaming platform shows the same package that have 26 episodes missing.
Another example is the reality show Storage Wars. Certain episodes are unavailable; even from the A&E stream.
