I just ordered her book "Blessed Life" on Ebay in like new condition for just $4.03 with free shipping! I figure since i'll be stuck inside most of April may as well catch up on reading! I can't wait to read it...and no spoilers please!! :nonono:

I saw Cloris Leachman has a book too....has anyone read it? If recommended, I may get that too.

I recently saw the posts here on Charlotte Rae's book but felt like I read the thing just from the posts since lots of key info was shared from it. Is it still worth a look anyway? If so, i'll pick that up also. At 4 bucks a pop, it's not breaking the wallet.

I bought her book too! The site plans the arrival at the end of this month

About Charlotte..I wrote that post and wrote some of the facts about DS and FOL. I recommend it, if you are a fan of Charlotte's other works.

I got it too. She doesn't talk a whole lot about her times on FOL.

Yikes the end of the month?! Ebay says mine should come by 4/8 but i'm going to expect some delays. I looked at Charlotte's book on Amazon and decided to go ahead and get it since it got great reviews there.

That's ok with me. I really like Kim Fields so whatever she has to say in the book i'm sure i'll find interesting. I wouldn't expect any of the girls to talk solely about FOL. I just hope it's more than a couple of pages.

Well it's more than that, she has like a couple of chapters on it. So yes, it's totally worth it, just for that alone.

I'd love to hear about her growing up and also her years doing "Living Single" (another show I loved back in the 90's) and what she's been up to since, so it's not just to read about her FOL years, but of course I want all the behind the scenes details on that!

You know if it were her character Tootie writing it, she'd spill all the really juicy gossip that Kim probably doesn't.

Oh! No cfr, I was talking about Charlotte's book, sorry. I never got anyone else's.

Ok, that's good actually because I wasn't even expecting one chapter of the FOL years in Charlotte's book, so getting a couple is a bonus. Even other than FOL, she seems to have led an interesting life...I saw an Amazon review saying she had a bout with alcoholism. Yikes. Mrs. G hitting the bottle?

Don't tell me more because i'm definitely getting her book! :nonono:

Thanks, and don't make fun---half century is coming for you too!!

It doesn't bother me though because I just think to myself, no matter how old I ever get, little Tootie will still always be older than me!!

That puts it in a better perspective. :)

A walker on roller skates!

I remember the first thing Christopher ever said to me here in the past few years. I had mentioned something about this board that was nearly 20 years ago, and he said something akin to, "Now now, there's no need to say how many years it's been. :nonono: Saying 'a long time ago' will suffice."

I thought he was around 50 years old, and I specifically remember he used the ":nonono:" emoji, lol.

He actually made the same mention today when I said Melrose Place was 25 years ago (which still shocks me to think about because it doesn't seem that long ago). I guess all of us deal with aging differently.

As for me, it doesn't bother me to get older. As long as I have my health and I can still get up and around without a hoverround or hurry-cane being 50 is ok. With the way the world is these days, I thank the lord i'm not a teen or 20 something! I feel badly for those poor kids having to grow up with all this crap.

We were SO lucky to have our youth from the 70's to the 90's!!

I was hoping CHARLOTTE RAE would speak mostly about FOL in her book (or at least a lot considering she spent 7 years on the show)
Some people just make a movie a talk about it as if it were a lifetime lol!:talk::talk::talk:

PS: how can MRS G hit the bottle if she's the adult role model ha ha ha!

Ooh! Thanks! That's going to make for some good reading! But i'm sure i'll find everything else interesting too because I love Kim Fields anyway. :)

The only part i'll probably gloss over is when she was on that Real Housewives show. I'm NOT into reality TV at all, especially smutty trash like that kind of show, and I think something like that is too beneath her. She must've sadly needed the paycheck to be involved in that crap.

I think so, too. It doesn't feel like the actress we all know Kim is.

Only three or four chapters? Did she reveal new things about Facts or she said all the things we already know?

No spoiler, only yes or no :lol:
