I'm thinking Ben is ? I think Ben is the fourth child and Erin the fifth ! I think they are really close in age though, but with Ben being the older of the two! ;)

I'm pretty sure Ben is, seems like he graduated from HS before Erin. Like you said, real close in age though.

EDIT: I was looking at episode on Google, maybe Erin is older, her graduation and trying to find a job is Season 5, Ben's looking for work right after graduation is Season 6.

Oh wow, really ! ? Than Erin probably is a little older than Ben, but they were back to back babies I'm sure, after Erin was born, Oliva probably got pregnant right away ! ;) She should have told John " Not tonight dear, I have a headache " !!

Been rewatching the series here and there, I'm just starting Season 4, if I do see any mention of their ages I'll keep ya posted.

But yeah, I think they are close and John-Boy and Jason are fairly close in age.

I think when the season started ( not including the Homecoming movie) , John Boy was 16 and Elizabeth 5 or 6! Wow, 7 kids in 10 to 11 years ! So all the kids are pretty close in age to the sibling right before and right after ! ;)

I've been watching on METV at 12 weekdays, due to my work schedule I can only see it 3 days , and after the Corona just 2 days a week!

The episode with Erin graduating was on the other day! Yeah, she is older than Ben, cause it was mentioned that John Boy, Jason and Mary Ellen graduated already and now Erin!
Ben wasn't mentioned !;)

Also , I saw an ep. not too long ago where they were in school. John Boy and Jason weren't there, they had already graduated ! Mary Ellen was in the back row. The two youngest Jim Bob and Elizabeth up front and I took particular notice to Erin sitting a row behind Ben ! Meaning she was in a higher grade than him!;)

Good eye!

They were fairly consistent with the seating arrangement as far as siting by grade.

I decided to DVR the Waltons and I am about at episode 11. I have lot of episodes backed up..Anyway I always thought that Mary Ellen was Olivia's and Johns second child but found out in one of the episodes Jason is the 2nd child at age 15 and Mary Ellen is 13. I just saw the Denby Cousins episode where Mary Ellen got caught smoking with her cousin in a shed. I have seen episodes of the entire series here and there and did see a later season with Robert Wightman who played John Boy and thought he resembled Jim Bob and felt he looked more like a Walton than Richard Thomas.
