I recently bought both the original season 1 DVD set and the complete series set and had to check out the alternate versions of The Contest No One Could Win episode.
The season 1 set that was originally released has the more familiar version and the complete series has the original version of this episode.
I would recommend seeing both versions because the ending is significantly different and the actor playing the con man was switched. When I first heard about it, I thought it would not be a big deal but I was wrong as it changed the outcome of the episode completely.
The Shout Factory version of this episode also runs longer and contains additional dialogue that has nothing to do with the altered ending. The original season 1 set opens up to dialogue in progress, the Shout Factory set has that full scene.
