Did you ever notice that the basic layout for the Donna Reed Show and I Dream of Jeannie living rooms were nearly exactly the same?

The front door/alcove/central living room/stairs/dining room/back patio/kitchen are all in the same place with Alex's office/Tony's bedroom same place -- all with minimal changes (bar/stairs type, etc.).

The shows were briefly in production at the same time in 1965, so I don't think the set was converted, but they at least used the set plan and altered it, or so it would seem.

Anyone know more?

I don't recall ever watching Donna Reed, so I can't help there. You may have to make screenshots of episodes from each and compare. That often helps determining specifics better than trying to just remember between episodes :-)

It does look like the Donna Reed entry for season one (with smaller staircase) - which was also appears to have been used for the Kravitz house on Bewitched with minor modifications. Or some set designer at Screen Gems loved to use this one particular design.
