A rep for Betty White was forced to comment on the television icon’s health after people began inquiring about the "Golden Girls" star amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Worry began to grow on social media about the 98-year-old after Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson confirmed on Wednesday they had both tested positive for coronavirus (https://www.radio.com/music/entertainment-news/tom-hanks-and-rita-wilson-test-positive-for-coronavirus).

But there’s no reason to be alarmed, a rep for White told (https://twitter.com/TODAYshow/status/1238172398438035462) the “Today” show, “Betty is fine.”

She sure is! And I love her for it.

Me too! I'm sure whoever works for her makes sure she stays home as much as possible. And I have no doubt they wear masks whenever they're around her.

If *ONLY* people had paid attention to what the scientists told us when this first started. The virus can only live a few days outside the human body. A short period of everyone possible quarantining themselves would have saved countless lives, and dramatically reduced the economic damage we've seen by now. :(
