I discovered a Luther Vandross album called Songs that he debuted in 1994 and from what I heard about it was that it was a covers album where Luther sang versions of classic songs. Among the hits that came from the album was the cover of the Lionel Richie/Diana Ross hit Endless Love where Luther dueted with Mariah Carey and a impressive cover of The Impossible Dream. When I heard this album I wonder if Luther wanted to release another covers album in his career? I was surprised at this album and was amazed that Luther Vandross did remakes of songs so well and if he were still alive today Luther could've gone up to join the rank of Ruben Studdard
