View Full Version : Nobody's An L.A. Native? MIKEPR 03-05-2020, 11:07 PM Though I assume Lamont is Fred's late wife and Family are from Detroit. Grady was from Chicago. Cloud9 Lorraine 03-08-2020, 03:16 PM Though I assume Lamont is Fred's late wife and Family are from Detroit. Grady was from Chicago. I believe Fred, Elizabeth, Esther and Grady are all from St. Louis, MO. MIKEPR 03-08-2020, 04:59 PM It's been stated on episodes that Grady was a Chicago native and other things on the internet I've read suggests that Elizabeth was a Detroit Native. Bonniegirl 03-08-2020, 06:12 PM Maybe Bubba, Skillet and Rollo could have been LA natives?;):) Cloud9 Lorraine 03-08-2020, 07:59 PM It's been stated on episodes that Grady was a Chicago native and other things on the internet I've read suggests that Elizabeth was a Detroit Native. I never saw or read that. In Mama's Baby Papa's Maybe episode, Grady tells Fred that someone from back home in St. Louis is in town. That someone was Grip Matlock, Big Money Grip, who tries to tell Fred that he is Lamont's real father. In the Stand Ins episode, Fred tries to repay Bowlegs (played by Scatman Crothers) for introducing him to Elizabeth. At the end of the episode, Bowlegs tells Fred that he didn't introduce Fred to Elizabeth. Bowlegs explains that he introduced Fred to Esther, in St Louis at a Bond Rally in 1942. It was Esther who introduced Fred to Elizabeth. I'd love to know the episodes that state different facts as there are lots of continuity errors throughout the show. GoldenTV 03-13-2020, 12:00 AM I never saw or read that. In Mama's Baby Papa's Maybe episode, Grady tells Fred that someone from back home in St. Louis is in town. There seem to be inconsistency regarding where Grady is from as in another episode, it was stated that Grady was from Chicago. In the Cousin Emma episode where she is visiting Grady and Lamont from Chicago, she was telling Lamont that when Grady was young fellow in Chicago, he was a playboy and had a woman chasing him every Saturday night. Of Couse Lamont couldn't leave that alone and said "What he do. Snatch their purses?" :D |
