Mrs. Garrett was talking a lot about change and having new challenges in "The Interview" episode. Do you think that this was Charlotte Rae speaking through Mrs. Garrett telling the viewers that she was ready to move on to the next stage of her life? She would still be there in the next season, but only in a few episodes.

I never thought of that, but I will definitely keep it in mind the next time I watch TIS.

I think you're right 80s Dude: MRS G (aka CHARLOTTE RAE) definitely knew it was the end of an era for her. You can certainly tell by the sad tone of her voice when she talks about 'her girls'. She even treats them to a restaurant in the middle of the week, and has a tender moment with BLAIR when she briefly caresses her cheek (after helping her put on her coat). That was the last time we saw them together as a family, and a bittersweet one for me knowing she would soon depart....:(

Well, she didn't write the words, but maybe she thought of the parallel and felt it while delivering them. It's possible.
