In 1979 singer Rickie Lee Jones "this is probably the first time i've seen a girl named Rickie and I associate the name Ricky currently because of Rick from Rick And Morty" released her self-titled album and had a hit on the soft pop charts with Chuck E's In Love which she wrote about Chuck E. Weiss who was a friend of Tom Waits and Rickie and asked Rickie to write a song about him. And who Chuck E. really loved in the fictional song was his cousin and Rickie Lee also had a hit with the song Young Blood too. Rickie Lee Jones continues to perform and is such an amazing songwriter who also performs on movie soundtracks as well. It's a shame we don't have singers like Rickie Lee Jones today because Rickie is a great talent

Sorry, I can't stand her and I despise "Chuck E's in Love" so bad that if I could rid the world it I would. :mad:

The part of Chuck E's In Love that I don't care for is the middle part when she strums on the guitar and sings those dumb sounding lyrics, that part is lame. Fortunately it's a brief part of the song, lasts about 15 seconds and that's it. I think the rest of the song is OK, it's not a big favorite of mine but I don't mind listening to it except for the lame part in the middle. I included the song in my hits of the 70's collection, it's one of the songs I chose from the year 1979.
