When The Hudson Brothers first started out, their music was very much influenced by The Beatles. "Dolly Day" is a fun tune that sounds like it would have been a great radio hit for the summer of 1974 but sadly it didn't turn out that way. Mark Hudson is the singer and does his best John Lennon impersonation. :lol:

Thanks dakert, glad you enjoyed it. 1974 was definitely THE year for The Hudson Brothers, they had a Saturday Morning TV show and two great LP's that year, Totally Out Of Control and Hollywood Situation, the song So You Are A Star was a top 40 hit. But it all went downhill after that. Their 1975 LP titled Ba-Fa was overall a disappointment, songs weren't as good compared to the previous two LP's. Then in 1978 The Hudson Brothers took an unfortunate turn to disco with the LP titled The Truth About Us, it's not a terrible album but I can't recommend it either. Then in 1980 there was one final LP titled Damn Those Kids, this album was a return to the rock/pop style but the songs are mostly lackluster and the album failed anyway because by 1980 no one was paying attention to The Hudson Brothers anymore, their ship had sailed in 1975. 1974 was their magical year.
