When I am on my parents' computer, their Webroot antivirus has been blocking SO as a detected malicious site. This is not a problem on my computer that has McAfee instead.

Somebody had mentioned that in the past. I'm not sure what we can do about it. Maybe you can e-mail them about it or post on their forums. There is no malware or viruses on the server. It's scanned regularly.

My suggestion would be to uninstall that program or whitelist the domain. Those virus programs cause more inconvenience and slow down your computer more than anything. I only have Windows Defender running.

It's strange that one program reports it as malicious. It's not marked as malicious in Google. The site shows as clean on McAfee and many other virus checking programs. Malwarebytes once had blocked the site, but they removed it as a false positive.

I used to have Webroot myself, but switched to Windows Defender once I got my new laptop.

I got that too, I switched to a different web browser and it didn't block it on that one. You could try that option.

I had to uninstall Webroot because the DVD covers wouldn't show up back when I had my old computer.

If I was paying for a program like Webroot and it was blocking a website that I've been visiting for years and know to be safe, I would either uninstall the program or e-mail your complaint directly to them. I don't see the need for all of these virus programs. They scare you into using and paying for them. It makes you wonder who the people who are creating the viruses/malware in the first place.

They had it listed it under Malware sites. I posted on their forums. They told me to fill out a form to request a change. Hopefully they will remove the block or stop marking it as malicious.

I have Webroot and I haven't ever had any such problems with this site.

I ditched Webroot, and now I'm depending on Malware Bytes. Webroot couldn't keep up with Apple's OS releases.

I ran into the SO block a few years back. It had installed an extension, which I ditched.

Oh, and totally uninstalling Webroot is very difficult. You have to get a Webroot geek involved.

It was pretty easy for me to uninstall it.

You probably don't have a Mac--nothing's easy, at least for me.

I don't. I have a Windows.

Webroot sucks! I made it further than before to the main page and subforums after TJ's message on their forums, but when I tried going into threads that malicious message and block came up again. As it is not my computer, I don't feel like I can uninstall Webroot at my parents' house. I am glad my computer isn't fighting coming here.

This should be completely fixed now. They changed the reputation score from 60 (moderate risk) to 81 (trustworthy). I think you need to be a rocket scientist to understand their algorithm. :)

Thank you for contacting Webroot BrightCloud Support.

Upon review, the website https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards has been determined safe. We have adjusted its reputation score to trustworthy.

Over 400 factors are used to determine reputation and these include geo location, content on the page, IP addresses in use, links to and from the URLs and many other. The reputation algorithm is an extremely complex system, based on machine learning, where some of the 400 elements that determine a final score are weighted more heavily than others. In the past the following paths on your site had been determined to be malicious:

I had not been at my parents' house much the last few months. Great news, Webroot is no longer fighting this site now, I have been on with no problems.
