Wasn't Doctor Kildare a soap ?
from way back in the 60s !

No Dr Kildare was first a series of movies in the 1940's. Then in the 1960's a tv series came to tv with Richard Chamberlain in the lead role. The show was similar to Ben Casey and both series were on around the same time.
