When the physical fight between Cindy and SueAnn occurred on running, there was something thing I found distracting and took away from the scene. You saw a bunch of camera flashes probably coming from Molly's camera which was off screen.

Not sure if this was part of the script (if it was, why not have Molly on screen) or if photography was one of Molly Ringwald's real life hobbies then and they decided to let her practice her skills during that scene, I found it interfering with the main story line with all the flashes. You then saw Molly jumping on a chair to take a couple of pictures then she ran off screen again and was not on camera when the fight was broken up.

I thought Running was one of the best episodes of Season 1, but wished there was no flashes interfering with the plot line like when Sue Ann hit Blair in the face by accident.

I didn't find it distracting at all. When the flashes are going you know it's Molly in her juvenile excitement snapping pictures of their friends actually fighting. And I love the detail of her jumping up in the chair for a better angle to take photos! :lol:

Yes I agree, too bad she couldn’t take them without the flash so it could be less distracting

I don't find it distracting at all---it adds to the utter CHAOS of the scene! One of the most memorable scenes to make an impact in the entire history of television!!

(well, as a 5-year-old seeing it in syndicated reruns anyway, lol)
