One of the Thomas Wilder episodes began with a victims body laying near derelict and overgrown railroad tracks among rusting hulks of old streetcars.

The only place I know of where such a site exists is in Western Pennsylvania, much nearer to Pittsburgh than to New York City.

This sure looks like the set location to me, but isn't that a long way to go just to shoot such a short segment? (Not to mention well out of Danny's jurisdiction)

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the show has been filmed elsewhere, but as far as I am aware, it is filmed in New York City since that is where the show takes place.
