Recalling Kobe Bryant's TV cameos: From Sister, Sister to Moesha to Modern Family (https://people.com/tv/kobe-bryant-most-memorable-television-appearances/?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=peoplemagazine)

Bryant, who was killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday, made his TV debut shortly after the L.A. Lakers drafted him in 1996 in cameo roles on Sister, Sister and Moesha, starring Brandy, whom he would later take to prom (https://stylecaster.com/kobe-bryant-brandy-prom/). He also appeared on Bette Midler's CBS sitcom (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V80udqBCME0) Bette, MTV's The Challenge, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and, in 2010, Modern Family. “I saved this notification in 2013. Kobe had come to set and watched us shoot Modern Family,” Eric Stonestreet wrote on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/B7zhBG9nLQf/). “He said he woke up and wanted to watch some comedy, so he came and watched us rehearse and shoot scenes. Later when he was leaving, I asked him what made him decide to come to watch us. He said, ‘because you guys are the best and last year, you told me to stop by sometime.’ I about lost my marbles. I have no idea if that was true, but I do know I did tell him to stop by sometime. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of the families affected by this awful tragedy.”

The Real co-host, who's the same age as the late NBA superstar, remembered his guest role on her and her sister Tia's ABC TGIF sitcom shortly after he was drafted in 1996 at age 17. “I remember just looking at him — he was so tall. He had just started playing for the Lakers, and I didn’t know what to expect,” said Tamera Mowry-Housley on The Real. “I’ll never forget his humility. I’ll never forget his kindness, and even then his work ethic. He was on Sister, Sister. He was so nervous and he had, like, one or two lines, but I was like, ‘Dang! He’s so focused!” ALSO: The Bachelor fans got emotional when "Kobe" was uttered on last night's episode (https://www.tvinsider.com/852986/kobe-bryant-the-bachelor-reference-twitter/).
