Wally says the bill at the White Fox was $12.50 and with a 15% tip it was $14.37. We found that coffee was $.40 so wouldn’t the bill be more? Since when does Wally drink coffee? Maybe that was espresso.

Why would Wally have put his wallet in his sports jacket, after he got money from Ward he didn’t go anywhere. He was going to wear his nice suit not wanting to look like Tony Curtis. (aka Bernie Schwartz)

Also Wally must have a mathematical mind he was able to calculate 15% of $12.50 so quickly and move those decimal points.

In one episode Beaver was looking over Wally's shoulder at his algebra homework. Wally asked him why he was looking at it if he didn't understand it, and Beaver replied that Wally didn't understand it either, and Wally replied, Yeah, but they're makin' me. So Wally probably wasn't so great at math. Also in a later episode Ward asked about Wally's geometry grade (in a subject Eddie had said would never come up).

As far as the coffee goes, maybe Wally opted for table d'haute, in which case the coffee would have been "come with." That probably came up after Julie asked if the salad was come with. We just weren't in on that...

Of course. I actually didn’t know what Wally said when he asked Eddie about ala carte or table d’haute. You straightened out what “table dough” was. I had no idea. I guess it was phonetically pronounced table dote for haute.

That "come with" question by Julie was a funny line. The waiter could have said, Madam, wiz table d'haute, ze salad and ze cafe au lait are included.
