With the passing of Kobe Bryant today I found a Sprite commercial starring Kobe and one of my favorite rap artists Missy Elliott. The commercial debuted in 1998 and featured Kobe Bryant playing basketball while Missy Elliott raps. This commercial appears to be Missy Elliott's first commercial when her debut album Super Duper Fly came out and Missy and Kobe act so well in this commercial. With sports stars such as Kobe Bryant making huge money in Sprite commercials it's no surprise that Sprite really had a smart way of using sports stars in their commercials that they still use them in Sprite commercials today
