I don't. Watching him beating up suspects whether they are guilty or not was unwatchable. He should have been put in jail or fired a long time ago. I would have pressed charges against him. The show got better when he left.

Yes I thought as the show went on he got more violent but didnt the show represent REAL POLICE TODAY??
Police are like that sadly now..........
Law & Order: SVU's Detective Stabler lives on in fan-created YouTube videos (https://themuse.jezebel.com/detective-stabler-fandom-lives-forever-on-youtube-1841329442)
Christopher Meloni may have left the NBC crime drama in 2011, but his SVU legacy lives on in obsessive fan edits that have been published to YouTube, some as recently as a couple weeks ago.

I don't think it did. The show definitely changed from being a show about helping victims to watching Benson be the main victim the first few years after Stabler left. It's the Benson show now where every main story is revolving around her. She gets captured, tortured, her son hits her, she gets threatened, she has PTSD, and so many other things. It doesn't feel like an ensemble cast show like it used to be when Stabler was there.
I also thought it was lame to replace Stabler with a character just like him. Amaro was Stabler 2.0 with the violent outbursts and marital problems. I never liked Amaro for that reason. Since they wanted a Stabler type character in the show, they should have paid Christopher Meloni the same wage as Mariska because no one was as good in that type of role than him.
