View Full Version : Super Bowl LIV...Chiefs v 49ers
MrCleveland 01-19-2020, 11:20 PM The Kansas City Chiefs play against the San Francisco 49ers this year in Miami.
And again...I'm gonna try to boycott the Super Bowl and have "No Super Bowl VII".
But still...Go Chiefs!
Bonniegirl 01-19-2020, 11:32 PM I voted 49ers cause I think they will win! But I hope the Chiefs win !!
GO CHIEFS !!;)
MrCleveland 01-20-2020, 06:20 PM Jets 31
Browns 7
That would only happen in the 1960's...like how The Jets beat the Colts in Super Bowl III.

Remember the good old days when the first ever Monday Night Football game was the Jets at the Browns?
James28 01-20-2020, 08:46 PM I voted Chiefs because they had a longer title drought than the 49ers (1970 vs. 1995). The Chiefs won their last Super Bowl title before the AFL-NFL merger, and before their current home stadium opened.
I hope this year's SB will be an improvement over last year's "Big Game" in Atlanta (Patriots win, a dynasty that most people have gotten tired of, terrible SB halftime with Maroon 5, lead-out program [The World's Best] crashed and burned in its regular timeslot...). I won't be watching this year's lead-out program (The Masked Singer), either, however.

And why do you wanna do that?
MrCleveland 01-21-2020, 07:20 PM And why do you wanna do that?
Because...it's the most overrated event in sports as we speak. Plus...there's 31 NFL Teams and The Cleveland Clowns aren't one!
The way things are...The Cleveland Clowns will NEVER be in The Super Bowl!
Both teams at one point were QB-ed by Joe Montana

Oh stop it!
MrCleveland 01-22-2020, 08:46 PM Oh stop it!
If you see how The Cleveland Clowns play the past few years...we haven't had a team since 1995!
My Own home team is the reason why I HATE Football! Plus...since The Super Bowl is on Groundhog's Day...I'll be watching this of course...

Bonniegirl 01-22-2020, 09:00 PM So............Back to the original point of this thread, who do you all think will win the Super bowl?
And than who do you WANT to win?
.
PhoenixAcres 01-22-2020, 09:11 PM I'd like to see the Chiefs win considering they've had to wait 50 years for the moment.
They're also a really good team.

That's pretty much our thinking too
After last Sunday we need a good game this Sunday. Sports is supposed to distract us from everyday life, not add to the sadness*
*unless you're a Jets fan, in which case everyday is an unending horror
MIKEPR 01-29-2020, 04:16 PM With The Chiefs in the SB maybe The Jets will make it shortly.
Remeber either team has gone since the AFL-NFL merger.
James28 02-02-2020, 01:41 AM I now know what my post-Super Bowl plans will be if I can't watch The Masked Singer...
I'll be watching the series finale of The Good Place (which aired last Thursday) on the NBC website instead. I apologize to those who actually like The Masked Singer, but I'm just not into reality shows airing after the SB.
AMackII 02-02-2020, 08:13 AM Kansas City for the win
MrCleveland 02-02-2020, 11:12 PM Kansas City for the win
Looks like it happened...
Kansas City 31
San Francisco 20
Both played well...the Chiefs had that comeback scenario through the playoffs and the 49ers had good defense.

It's worse when you're a Cleveland Clowns Fan...and though a Clevelander...I'm not!
Since many have called-out on the Clowns shenanigans...maybe they can play as a team!
But here's something for The Chiefs....

Patrick Mahomes is a nice boy and the Chiefs do have a great team, so I congratulate them although I truly wanted the 49ers to win. Still, I'm happy for Mahomes.

I feel the same way about the 49ers !! They are a fantastic team, Jimmy G is really HOT :eyes: and they really played well! ;) It was a really good, exciting game! :)I wouldn't have been upset at all had the 49ers won!
Let's put it this way , the Chiefs won and the 49ers came in second !! ;)

NFL came through.
The second epic collapse for Kyle Shanahan in 3 years. In 2017 he was the Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator when they blew a 28–3 lead to the Patriots. This time as head coach a 20-10 lead with under 9 minutes to go.
MIKEPR 02-03-2020, 04:16 PM I was a bit disgusted with it.
The first half the highest score was under 20 points and that always gets me in any game and many times I've turned away from them.
I did return to the SB at which time the 49er's scored 20 and eventually The Chiefs caught up beating The 49'er 31-20 scoring higher than they did in SB-IV.
Though I didn't route for either team I was glad The Chiefs won considering they haven't been to the SB in so long.
I knew that Kansas City would win.

I know I didn't watch, but...this may be in the Top-10 Super Bowls of all time real soon. And this was after the dismal Super Bowl LIII.
James28 02-06-2020, 01:05 PM I guess it's only fitting that the Super Bowl opponent with the longer championship drought gets the win to end the NFL's centennial season on a high note. Better luck next year, 49ers.
