Hello There,
How many of you in this Congregation know of and have heard of a Modern-Day Open-Air Preacher and Minister named Kirk Cameron? Anyone? Show of Hands? OK, For those of you in this Congregation who answer No to that question, let me describe him for you: for nearly 20 years, since around the year 2000, Kirk Cameron has been an Evangelical, Non-Denominational Christian Minister and Preacher based in his hometown of Los Angeles, California, where he was born on October 12, 1969, 50 years ago last Fall.
50 years old, my friends, is how old Kirk Cameron is right now, and for less than HALF of his 50 years on Earth, he's been delivering Sermons on both Television (specifically on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Channel 98 is where it airs locally) and in various U.S. Churches for nearly 20 years.
Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, Kirk Cameron, at age 32, teamed up with fellow Minister Ray Comfort (who just turned 70 last month, having been born on December 5, 1949 in Christchurch, New Zealand), a Naturalized U.S. Citizen originally from New Zealand who's been a Minister since around 1972.
Soon after I started getting very heavily into his Sermons which have made me learn MORE about the Bible more than I ever did in the few times I've read it IN MY LIFE--What a Shock, yeah I know--and also sadly, after I lost my Dot (referring to my late elderly relative who transitioned to Heaven in January 2009, just after the New Year 11 years ago), soon after Dot passed away, I discovered, per Kirk's official personal website at http://kirkcameron.com (where you can find more information about his Ministry and Family Life), that Kirk has a younger sister named Candace, nearly 6 years younger than him. Now Candace, per Kirk's official personal website, is a Happily Married housewife to her husband of almost 24 years, a Retired Pro Hockey Player named Val Bure, a Russian Immigrant with whom she has 3 young teenagers ages 21, 19 and 18 (as of Martin Luther King Day this year) and lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida alongside their dog, Boris the Rottie.
Like Brother, Like Sister, Kirk Cameron remained a Pure Virgin until age 21, after he married his wife since 1991, Nancy Mueller, a former Model whom he met and fell in love with at the young age of 20, 30 years ago last Fall; Kirk and Nancy have been married since July 20, 1991, and he gave his Virginity to her shortly after their wedding in Nancy's hometown near Buffalo, New York in a private ceremony attended by immediate family only of both Kirk and Nancy.
Ironically, Nancy's late father, Fred, months before their wedding, dropped dead relatively young of a violent Massive Heart Attack in New York, leaving her brother David (who like Nancy was adopted in babyhood) to give her away at their wedding; in the years since, they've become, in true life, the proud parents of SIX--count 'em, SIX--teenagers, the eldest 4 adopted of mixed race, while their younger 2 teenagers, James and Olivia, are biological.
I say that for today's Sermon to all of you to say this: Kirk Cameron is a Shining Example of someone who doesn't just claim to be a Christian, but he also LIVES the Christianity example, just like Jesus Christ in the Bible, who per the Old AND New Testament both, stated that ALL Sexual Sin IS Sin; maybe some of you in the Congregation have had Premarital Sex in your lifetime before turning away from Sin, I'm not 100% sure, but whether you are Heterosexual OR Homosexual both, Jesus in the Bible, according to Matthew Chapter Five, says Whoever looks upon a woman with Lust has already committed adultery with her in HIS heart; the same is true for those of you who are Homosexuals--whether you identify as Gay or Lesbian, or even LGBTQ--who lust after someone, yes, you are committing adultery in your heart, and I freely stand before you and say in that sense, I HAVE SINNED.
Does that make me a Perfect Christian? Of course not, and I don't expect Perfection from anyone here, including myself as a fellow Congregationalist.
Just like Fred Rogers before him, Rogers having transitioned to Heaven in 2003 of Cancer weeks after the diagnosis was confirmed despite NEVER having Smoked a Cigarette (or anything else), Drank Alcohol, OR Ate Meat, Kirk Cameron is Earth's version of Jesus Christ; he is the kind of person who, though not a Perfect Earthly Man, he's a shining example of someone who loves everyone and hates no one; for those of you who haven't seen any clips of how Kirk Cameron witnesses on the Streets of Santa Monica as an Open-Air Preacher, I strongly suggest you watch a YouTube clip of Kirk Cameron, in around 2003, witnessing to gang members, and see how he witnesses to them, and note how he doesn't talk down on them or scream and shout "Hallelujah, God Hates Gang Members. You're All Going to Hell Unless You REPENT of your sins." No! He'd sound like Rev. Fred Phelps if he did that.
Instead, as a Minister, Kirk Cameron gets to the Conscience, and the Heart of the Sinner. A funny thing, while in the middle of witnessing to the gang members, some Latino Drunk started talking to him about Black Sabbath and Hitler, to which Kirk politely shunned him off and said, "I gotta think about that. Give me a minute." I'm with Kirk on this one, because the Drunkard was pretty rude to interrupt a Witnessing; I know of a lot of Church Ministers such as Rev. Jim Bakker who Embezzle Company Funds and spend 5 years in Prison for the Criminal Offense. Others like Jimmy Swaggert are Heretics who go around paying Prostitutes to have SEX with them. Neither of these examples are what Kirk Cameron is and has done as a Church Minister and Human.
He even goes as far as vowing, since his wedding day, to NEVER even kiss another woman on top of NEVER cheating on his wife. If more Men were like Kirk Cameron and less like Bill Cosby, who has a Reputation for NOT keeping his Penis in his Pants outside marriage, hence why he's spending 3 years Minimum as of 2018 Behind Bars, with the earliest release being September 2021 (assuming he doesn't pass away first due to Poor Health) stemming from a CONSENSUAL 2004 Encounter he had with Andrea Constand; Constand, I hasten to say, is at fault for Cosby being behind bars, because a year after the Encounter, she filed a lawsuit against him and he testified in the suit with the promise from then-Prosecutor Bruce Castor that he'd NEVER be Prosecuted. Well, flash forward a decade later, to 2015, and Castor's successor, Kevin Steele, formally presses Criminal Charges against Cosby in connection with the 2004 Encounter after MANY women FALSELY accuse him of Rape and other forms of Sexual Assault; after an initial 2017 Trial ended in a Hung Jury, he was re-tried in 2018 AND Convicted of Indecent Sexual Assault. Indecent Sexual Assault, My Butt. Constand is a 100% Bitch (excuse my language) for ruining Cosby's life. Yes, Bill Cosby, when he had Consensual Sex with Andrea Constand, committed a Biblical Sin when he had the Encounter, but it WAS NOT, and I repeat, WAS NOT Legally Criminal.
IF Constand had begged Cosby to stop having Sex with her, I KNOW for sure he would have listened; Constand WANTED Cosby's Penis in her Vagina so bad, she KNEW of his Reputation as a Serial Philanderer. Cosby, in recent interviews, still despite his Conviction, has shown ZERO Remorse, because he has NO Remorse because he NEVER Committed a Criminal Offense. Like this teenager on Dr. Phil would say, "No Face, No Case." Yet the general public IGNORES the TRUE Fact that the Crooked Judge, Steven O'Neill, who presided both Trials against Cosby, allowed a Juror in the 2nd Trial to remain on the Bench DESPITE the Juror saying "Let's All Find Cosby Guilty and Go Home."
Only a CROOK would allow a Juror to remain on the bench after a Comment such as that was made public. The Prosecuting Attorney, Kevin Steele, is ALSO a CROOK because ALL he wanted to do was Prosecute Bill Cosby. That is 100% a TRUE Fact, just like the fact that Steven O'Neill IS A CROOK.
The trial against Bill Cosby, and my apologies for going on about this, it wasn't a trial, it was short of a real-life version of the plot of the "Seinfeld" finale from 1998, where Jerry Seinfeld's character, along with his 3 friends, did NOTHING to stop a Robbery and violated the So-Called "Good Samaritan Act," resulting in all 4 Defendants' respective Convictions and a year Behind Bars.
Same is true with Cosby, unfortunately, who now is serving a Minimum 3 years in State Prison. Gone are many of his Honorary Degrees. Likewise with his Kennedy Center Honors. All his TV shows and films are no longer airing on TV or made for DVD. It's like the world wants to forget and ignore the fact that Cosby was THE first Black American to be a Lead Actor on Prime-Time Network TV. He helped save NBC when NBC was in last Place in the Nielsen Ratings with his '80s "Cosby Show," helping both the show AND Network reclaim Victory when it otherwise NEVER would have done in both cases.
Anyway, I'm off to bed in just a bit, but before I do, let us all say a Prayer as Friday becomes Saturday: Dear Jesus, Thank You for Allowing me to deliver this Sermon today, and thank you to all my fellow Congregation members, to my family, to the friends I have in Georgia, and most importantly, Thank YOU for not giving up on me or anyone else in the Congregration.
