I don't know, it seemed like a huge missed opportunity. Like there was one episode when we meet Cody's dad, Frank's brother, wouldn't it have been so obvious for them to have gotten Larry Hagman to play him? And if we ever met Frank's first wife, she could've naturally been played by Victoria Principal.

Wasn't "Cody" himself from Dallas?

Yes, Sasha Mitchell (Cody) was in the last two seasons of Dallas.
I’m a little surprised that Larry Hagman didn’t show up given what good friends they were. But Larry also commanded a very high salary at that point, and he wasn’t willing to take discounts for old times’ sake (this was why he didn’t appear in the “I Dream of Jeannie” reunion movies).
The other thing is that this wasn’t exactly prestige television - it was a corny, modestly-budgeted sitcom. Victoria was aiming higher at that point, and there was also some bad blood between her and Lorimar (producer of SBS and Dallas) about her departure from Dallas. And Barbara Bel Geddes was retired.
But I do think it’s odd that no one else showed up. He didn’t want to throw some work Steve Kanaly’s way?

I am guessing that the other people from Dallas found other work. I know that the lady who played Alex from the Walker, Texas Ranger show was from the Dallas show.
God bless you and her and the others who are still here always!!!

Larry Hagman was known to be difficult to work with. Just like Suzanne Summer was on Three's Company, but she may have learned her lesson by Step by Step.

When you remember that Sasha Mitchell was a regular until his wife sent nuts and got him into trouble, it would have been too much to have other "Dallas" alumni on this show. It could have been fun to see Larry Hagman guest star as Cody's dad. However, I understand why it didn't happen.
