Chris Rock compares acting on Fargo to playing for the New England Patriots (https://www.indiewire.com/2020/01/fargo-season-4-trailer-watch-chris-rock-tktk-1202202018/)

“Fargo is funny like a Scorsese movie,” Rock explained Thursday at the TV press tour. “It’s always within the character, within the story. That’s something I have to pay attention to.” Rock said that Fargo is unlike the comedic acting he's used to since shooting the FX series is intricate with the camera constantly moving. “It’s like the New England Patriots,” Rock said. “You have to run the route and the ball will be there. It’s not just about running fast. You have to run the route for it to work.”

Why Noah Hawley specifically wrote Chris Rock's Fargo role for him (https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/fargo-season-4-noah-hawley-chris-rock-fx-1203462779/): “I don’t know the world of standup comedy but it felt like it embodied that spirit,” Hawley said of why he immediately thought of Rock for the show. “Plus, he’s funny.”

FX Networks just announced that it is positioning the premiere of the fourth installment of "Fargo" because of the suspension of production related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Season 4 will no longer premiere on its previously scheduled date of April 19 and will no longer be eligible for the 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards. A new premiere date will be determined once production resumes.

Fargo wrapped filming on Season 4 on Tuesday (https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/fargo-season-4-production-coronavirus-pandemic-1234763671)

The Chris Rock-led fourth season filmed nine of 11 episodes when production was halted due to the coronavirus shutdown in March. FX boss John Landgraf said the remaining episodes have been completed, praising creator Noah Hawley for his attention to detail in filming during a pandemic. Landgraf says Hawley sent a note to the cast and crew saying: "We’re all in this together,” meaning that it “not only matters what you do (in terms of) following the procedures when you’re at work but it matters what you do on the weekends” as well.

Chris Rock: I was happy "to actually play a grown a** man" in Fargo (https://decider.com/2020/09/09/fargo-season-4-chris-rock)

“I was just happy to be offered a decent part that was well-rounded … Aside from (Fargo executive producer) Warren Littlefield, no one ever offers me decent parts,” the 55-year-old Rock told reporters of playing a Kansas City mob boss in Season 4. “It was great to play somebody who was actually my age, too. I kinda got really famous at 35 or whatever, 37. Everything that’s offered to me is kind of like a man-boy. So it was great to actually play a grown a** man.” ALSO: Noah Hawley is "not ruling out" Season 5 of Fargo (https://deadline.com/2020/09/fargo-season-5-noah-hawley-1234574001/).
