Is there a story behind Warren Litchfield's comment of "Bye, Molly" when describing the cut down of 7 girls to 3 from the first season. Seems to be a taunt. I wonder how bad the relationship between Molly and the show powers that be has been over the years.

Yeah, he comes off as a jerk there. I think he felt he could cop that little attitude there, like, "She got so famous, isn't it funny they didn't care to keep her around? You're gone!"
(but his last name is "Littlefield", like a little field)

I have never understood this dig, either. It's so odd, and class-less. You're going on national TV, and this is what you want to say about an underage actress on the show?
Tasteless. Tacky. The nickname "Litchfield" isn't so far off: he's dead to me!

It was very douchey. He was like, "Yeah, I fired THEE Molly Ringwald, what ya gonna do about it?"

Yeah. To this day, I don't understand why someone would brag about firing THEE Molly Ringwald, one of the biggest film actresses of the 1980s. wouldn't you say, instead, "We hated to see her leave, since we knew she was an incredible talent" ?
