View Full Version : CHCH Winter 2020 Schedule
CHCH is set to make more changes to its daytime retro lineup before the end of January once a few of their current series near the end of their run. There won't be any new series added, just a few old favorites of yours and mine that will show up at new times. This is how it will look:
10:00 am I Love Lucy
10:30 Bewitched
11:00 Laverne and Shirley
11:30 Hogan's Heroes
12:00 I Dream Of Jeannie(returns Monday Feb. 10, replaces "The Wonder Years")
12:30 Mork and Mindy
1:00 The Facts Of Life(returns Fri. Jan. 31, replaces "The Jeffersons")
1:30 The Partridge Family(returns Monday Jan. 20, replaces "The Monkees")
2:00 St Elsewhere
3:00 One Day At A Time(returns Tue. Feb. 25, replaces "Good Times")
3:30 Sanford & Son(returns Tue. Jan. 28, replaces "Taxi")
4:00 Hill Street Blues
5:00 Cheers
5:30 Happy Days
Is it just me or does the morning group look better than the afternoon shows? That's a very solid 4 hour block to start the day, although I would prefer "The Partridge Family" to be on a little earlier, either 11:30 or 12:30. But that's only a small problem compared to what looks like a much improved schedule.

kk-likes-tv 01-16-2020, 06:26 PM I hope they add some new shows soon rather than bringing back the same ones. Eight hours of retro TV and still no Beverly Hillbillies. It's only the funniest show in TV history. C'mon now CHCH, I know you can do it! Here's an idea: add Beverly Hillbillies at 4:00, move Bewitched to 4:30 and dump Hill Street Blues in the ce-ment pond.
cfr1970 01-16-2020, 08:14 PM I love that lineup and wish I had access to that channel. Also, i've never seen St. Elsewhere and would love get the chance to watch that series as it's not available on dvd past the first season.

I love St. Elsewhere and have Season 1 on DVD and wish that either a network like Me-TV or one of the others would get it. The complete series is on Hulu and I've been watching it on there but there's nothing like physical DVDs.

The afternoon block is a mixed bag, 3PM hour doesn't interest me at all but I would love to have a station that aired Cheers and Happy Days in the 5PM hour.
cfr1970 01-17-2020, 12:48 PM I love St. Elsewhere and have Season 1 on DVD and wish that either a network like Me-TV or one of the others would get it. The complete series is on Hulu and I've been watching it on there but there's nothing like physical DVDs.
I went over to Hulu out of curiosity to check it out and my God that website is so cumbersome to navigate. It doesn't even have a search box so you can instantly check if a show is there.
I don't want to scroll through hundreds of tv show thumbnails and films just to find what to watch. It's just a hideous nightmare of a website imo.
I'll just wait until the show gets a complete series dvd release or comes to a broadcast station that I have access to.

This link might help you. It's a full list of series currently offered on Hulu.

There's a few good ones on there, but overall Hulu isn't as desirable as it once was. I would recommend you try Tubi instead. It's completely free and it has many of the classic shows that used to belong to Hulu before they started focusing more on their "original" (aka "crappy") series.

I hope you find what you're looking for.
cfr1970 01-17-2020, 08:09 PM Thanks for that link. It has a search bar where I can just instantly bring up a show i'm looking for over endless scrolling through huge thumbnails. I don't know why Hulu doesn't have that feature. It would make it much easier to navigate the site.
I found St. Elsewhere with the search feature and may just sign up and watch the series on my laptop and cancel when i'm through it.
With the calendar about to switch from February to March, CHCH has decided to once again change their current retro daytime lineup. There will be no new additions for now but the shows that are currently in the 12-5 pm afternoon block will all trade places with each other and will appear at new times. This is how it will work. First, here is the schedule as it appears today:
CHCH Retro February 2020:
10:00 am I Love Lucy
10:30 Bewitched
11:00 Laverne and Shirley
11:30 Hogan's Heroes
12:00 I Dream Of Jeannie
12:30 Mork and Mindy
1:00 The Facts Of Life
1:30 The Partridge Family
2:00 St Elsewhere
3:00 One Day At A Time
3:30 Sanford & Son
4:00 Hill Street Blues
5:00 Cheers
5:30 Happy Days
Now for the changes that will take effect starting on Monday:
CHCH Retro - March 2020
10:00 am I Love Lucy
10:30 Bewitched
11:00 Laverne and Shirley
11:30 Hogan's Heroes
12:00 pm The Partridge Family (replaces "I Dream Of Jeannie")
12:30 Mork and Mindy
1:00 Hill Street Blues (replaces "The Facts Of Life" and "The Partridge Family")
2:00 St Elsewhere
3:00 Sanford & Son
3:30 One Day At A Time (both series trade time slots)
4:00 The Facts Of Life
4:30 I Dream Of Jeannie (both series replace "Hill Street Blues")
5:00 Cheers
5:30 Happy Days
Even without new additions, which should arrive around the middle of April, the schedule looks stronger overall. I also get my wish which I requested last month to have "The Partridge Family" on earlier. Both the 12 and 4 pm hours are also a lot better as well. There's still a little room for improvement in between them. We'll see what happens in April.
Svenfan1234 02-26-2020, 08:14 PM I'm so envious that CHCH airs St. Elsewhere but no channel in the US airs it. Hulu has it and IMDB TV either will have it or they have it already, but with ads, and it's better than nothing but can be taken away anytime. But Disney now owns it, so I have my doubts that they'll be licensing it to anybody like Me-TV or Heroes & Icons or Get-TV, for example.
