I was a while back going around YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQewfYOWVhw&lc=UgxtKdCN-WMFMRCp_6d4AaABAg) and somebody made this interesting observation:
There's that other supporting actress from 50 shades sequels you forgot: Marcia Gay Harden (https://okmagazine.com/news/how-marcia-gay-harden-avoided-oscar-curse/). Since her Oscar (https://www.today.com/popculture/curse-supporting-class-wbna4285114) I haven't seen her in much else but small roles. 50 Shades sequels (http://www.tasteofcinema.com/2017/10-oscar-winners-who-urgently-need-a-good-role/), The Newsroom, The Morning Show, How To Get Away with Murder, some TV films (https://thestir.cafemom.com/movies/195160/18_oscar_winners_whose_next/154612/marcia_gay_harden/14?features=vertical_ss:off). Good actress, bad career (https://www.insider.com/oscars-curse-2019-2#marcia-gay-harden-after-winning-the-2001-academy-award-for-pollock-called-winning-disastrous-on-a-professional-level-7). All the ones mentioned in the video are actors and actresses who are well-known, but not necessarily the worst cases if you ask me. I think it's far worse to be an Oscar winner (https://www.huffpost.com/entry/marcia-gay-harden-oscar-pollock_n_5c51dfffe4b0ca92c6dc9664) who just landed in obscurity (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/20217746-curse-of-the-best-supporting-actress-oscar), who's only known to those who watch a lot of TV and film and recognize someone as "oooooh they're the one who had that small role in that film or TV, I thought I remembered them."
