Did anybody else like Beverly Anne and the last two seasons? I really enjoyed the last two seasons of the show and I liked Beverly Anne. I liked her and Mrs. Garrett as sisters. In fact, I only like Mrs. Garrett slightly better than Beverly Anne. Anyone else?

No-one could replace Mrs. Garrett. She was the show.

It gave the show new life. Charlotte Rae really wanted out of the show the last season or so and became rarely seen in the last season.

Mrs. Garrett. She was the show.

Well, I wouldn't say that. That sounds dismissive and insulting to the girls (but, I know you didn't mean it that way).

And The Nancy McKeon Fan Brigade™ will tell you Jo "was the show"! ;)

I agree with this. It brought a new dynamic to the show. More so than trying to revitalize it with a spencers gifts knock off.

No one can deny this. Not even Retro! (unless he does and proves me wrong  ) But really, yeah, whether you think it's good, bad, or neutral, Beverly Ann coming in when Mrs. Garrett left did bring a new dynamic to the show.

Of course. As the show says "You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the facts of life."

Uh-oh! Now we gotta redo the theme song with "neutral" too!

"Ya take the good
Ya take the bad
Ya take the neutral
Ya take all three
And there ya have the facts of life
The facts of life!"

Beverly Ann was OK. She was a lot better than Pippa or that little snot Kelly.

I like her in season 8. I feel Beverly Ann served a purpose to the shows premise that season. She was getting over a divorce and finding herself again. That's part of the facts of life. In season 9 she does not fit in at all. She doesn't even interact with the girls except for a couple of episodes. The girls are so focused on moving on with their lives that it was pointless keeping Beverly Ann in.
