Is this the first song to go #1 after being released a few decades ago?

Since Mariah Carey released her Merry Christmas album in 1994 the album has easily become an instant holiday classic that's in constant airplay in many radio stations every year. All I Want For Christmas Is You was the first single released from Merry Christmas and continues to be a holiday hit and covered by many bands and singers from The Cheetah Girls to acappella group Straight No Chaser and with it's catchy cute beat make it a great song. Mariah also rerecorded a new version of All I Want For Christmas on her second Christmas album Merry Christmas II You but it seemed to be replaced by Oh, Santa when her second album was released but it is still one of the most iconic songs of the 90's
