Let me explain, Brian doesn’t get with Rachel until they work at the country club (https://www.savedbythebellreviewed.com/2014/10/13/the-new-class-season-2-episode-14-farewell-dance/) (which is presumably, during the summer). But the Lindsay and Tommy are still together but they break up (https://www.savedbythebellreviewed.com/2014/11/10/the-new-class-season-2-episode-18-breaking-up/) during the school year. Also, they went to a dude ranch (https://www.savedbythebellreviewed.com/2014/10/27/the-new-class-season-2-episode-16-back-at-the-ranch/) later. So if this takes place in during the summer, then it’s even weirder and more confusing when half the cast disappears by the fall. It doesn't help that the NBC listing (https://www.nbc.com/saved-by-the-bell-the-new-class/episodes) these episodes are out of order (as far as I can tell).

This has annoyed me forever. I'm big on episodes being in their proper order but NO order makes sense for this season. It's not like you can just pretend those are the gang's weekend jobs because they have both a 4th of July episode and a Christmas in July episode. So it's clearly stating it's the summer. Ultimately, I go with the storyline and so the summer episodes are right in the middle of the school year.

When this season originally aired, they showed two episodes every Saturday morning, a regular school episode, followed by one of the summer episodes.
