I'm looking for an episode that contains the following scene - Ray is trying to get sex and Debra's not interested. So he compares it to going to a birthday party that you don't want to go to, but then you end up having a good time.
Does anyone know where I can find this?
Thanks!

Do you remember anything else about the episode? Was there a surprise party in it?

The episode you are looking for is "All I Want for Christmas", from season 2. In this episode all Ray wants for Christmas is to have sex with Debra. This is addressed in many episodes but for this episode it was the actual main plot, which is why I had a hard time thinking of what episode it was from. I knew I remembered this but I didn't know what episode it was from until I was watching this episode last night.

I think the episode described was mentioned in this 1999 article (https://buffalonews.com/news/everybody-loves-ray-romano/article_e33abcd7-39eb-56a8-ad9b-1f79cb23e62e.html):
That episode clearly illustrates that while "Raymond" is considered a family show, the subject matter can get adult. Occasionally when the material gets too adult, letters will arrive. It happened first after a Christmas episode when Ray and his wife were trying to find time to have sex.
"We got 10 or 12 negative letters, asking, 'How could you?' I told the guys if we can get 10 or 12 a week, we'll be a Top 10 show. That's an exception to the rule. We walk the line every now and then."
By season 9, it seemed like they "walked the line" every other episode. That's why I couldn't answer the topic starter's question, either. They really went overboard on that angle as the series went on.
Here's another funny thing from that article:
"I'd like to see myself in the workplace more, just to mix it up a little," said Romano. "My friend, (sportscaster) Pat O'Brien, was on one episode and we made fun of him. I liked that."
I can't recall any episodes that occurred in Ray's workplace in the latter half of the series.
