The Library of Congress has unveiled its annual list of 25 films that will join the National Film Registry for the year 2019.

The films were chosen for their cultural and historical significance. The films have to be at least a decade old to be considered for inclusion and are ultimately chosen by the Librarian of Congress.

Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress, has served in the role since 2016.
