View Full Version : Antenna TV 2020 schedule
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 11:36 AM I'm checking daily on their website for it's release and can't wait to see what's going where. Someone post it as soon as it's out!!
I'm hoping for "Who's the Boss" and "It's a Living" to get placed in the 7pm to 11pm prime time hours and i'll be happy. I haven't seen either show in ages and can't wait to see them again. The rest i'm not too crazy about.
eng51squad51 12-11-2019, 11:48 AM they might posted it next week
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 11:58 AM I remember a couple years ago someone who had inside info posted the schedule here before it was even released on the Antenna TV website. But if that person doesn't come back, I can wait another week.
It's the first time in a while i've been excited about a new schedule on this channel.
Merry24 12-11-2019, 11:59 AM Who’s The Boss? I’m looking forward to as well! Although Who’s The Boss? will not start until The 4th Quarter Fall Schedule 2020.
I’m currently here watching Dennis the Menace and a commercial came on saying That Girl starts January 2nd instead of just saying Starting in January.
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 12:13 PM Who’s The Boss? I’m looking forward to as well! Although Who’s The Boss? will not start until The 4th Quarter Fall Schedule 2020.

FALL 2020 for Who's the Boss? NO!! Did you read that officially? I was most anticipating that one. What a freaking bummer.
I guess it's just "It's a Living" I have to look forward to then. I do like "That Girl" and can watch it again. It's been a few years since I went through the series on DVD and I enjoyed it enough.
icecream 12-11-2019, 12:29 PM The other 6 new shows (That Girl, Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, It's a Living, Designing Women, and NewsRadio) that have been announced are all premiering in January, but Who's the Boss? was confirmed it won't be starting until fall.
snowpeck used to post the advance schedules but doesn't have access to Antenna TV's inside information any more. NewsRadio is known for having a New Year's Day marathon and the night of January 2 joining the weeknight schedule at 12:30AM where Murphy Brown currently is. The SO blog here posted about it a few days ago. No other schedule specifics have been released at this point.

icecream 12-11-2019, 12:52 PM I used to think Antenna TV was nice enough to do a tribute marathon for any actor who was a major part of a show on their current lineup (wouldn't expect it for someone who only appeared occasionally). But they just pay tribute to selected favorites and ignore others. Bill Daily from I Dream of Jeannie no marathon was ever planned. And this week I had sent Antenna a message saying I hope they will be airing a Benson tribute marathon for Rene Auberjonois. They don't have any plans for a Benson marathon at this time, it's never even had one marathon on Antenna. Rene was not on the first season, but played a major role in the next six they surely could have found enough episodes to air featuring him. Even if Benson is one of the shows expiring at the end of 2019, it's not like Benson is totally buried in the graveyard hours as it has a decent 4PM slot on weekdays. Robert Guillaume also died a few years ago, but I think that is before Antenna TV's rights started.
Merry24 12-11-2019, 01:07 PM Catsrule,
This kinda reminds me of when Alan Young passed away from Mister Ed. Antenna TV had the rights to the show at the time and did not do a Marathon for Mr. Young.
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 01:16 PM Thanks so much for posting this new schedule! "It's a Living" at 8pm is fantastic and just what I was hoping for!!
The morning/afternoon is great too. I love that Jeannie & Bewitched are staying put in their regular slots and "Facts" at 3pm is good.
I'll also come back at 9pm for "Family Ties" and 10pm for "Designing Women". I'm also glad they put Carson at 11pm where he belongs.
The ONLY minor complaint I have about this schedule is "Wings" at 2am where I can't see it, but overall, i'm happy as a clam over the new schedule.
Again, thanks so much for posting it!! :)
EDIT to add: "That Girl" at noon is great also. I was getting tired of the Partridges and will tune into that too. Love it!!
Merry24 12-11-2019, 01:17 PM Wow I’m shocked on the Johnny Carson Reducing time slots!
Wow I’m shocked that E/I took off the 12pm hour!!
Thank you to the poster who posted this including Marathon info!!!
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 01:26 PM Thank you to the poster who posted this including Marathon info!!!
In my excitement I didn't even see the Marathon info.
I also love that McHale's Navy is back on Saturday evenings. I missed the old time Sat. night lineup they had a couple of years ago. I wish Burns & Allen came on afterwards instead of Hazel, but i'll take what I can get.
Plater of Everything 12-11-2019, 01:27 PM NO MORE WEEKEND CARSON!!! YES!
Finally, more Dear John!!!!!
Lotsa Luck gets a slightly better time!
Svenfan1234 12-11-2019, 01:54 PM I like the schedule for the most part.
I can record shows like It's a Living, Johnny Carson, etc. so it doesn't really matter to me when they are on because I can just record them and watch them later.
Pros:
It's a Living gets a great 8PM timeslot.
Wings back at 9PM Sundays is great news!
The fact that shows like Dear John, Head of the Class, Hogan Family, Silver Spoons, Benson, etc. are staying is a very good sign that they will be here for a long time to come.
Less Barney Miller, Archie Bunker's Place, & Alice. Don't get me wrong, I like all 3 shows, but it's good to see them getting reduced. I only wish It's a Living were getting a full hour instead of Three's Company getting 8:30. But It's a Living also gets a full hour at 10PM on Sundays, so that's great.
Cons:
I don't like that they're moving Sabrina, the Teenage Witch so early in the morning--both on Weekdays and Weekends. I can (and will) watch my DVDs of the show but those have music replaced and the Antenna versions don't.
Becker being significantly reduced, but I kinda saw it coming. At least Coach is also really pushed to the wayside in this schedule, must really be doing poorly, having Growing Pains & The Hogan Family in the 7pm hour instead is a huge upgrade.
NewsRadio gets off to a bad start, but that could change given that it's being given a huge New Year's Day that I'm really looking forward to.
All in all, those are my opinions.
BigManMike 12-11-2019, 02:12 PM That Girl has a good spot on Saturday nights. Now if only they would stop crunching the credits this network would be watchable.
icecream 12-11-2019, 06:04 PM Cons:
At least Coach is also really pushed to the wayside in this schedule, must really be doing poorly, Growing Pains and Hogan Family in the 7pm hour instead is a big upgrade.Coach is hardly doing poorly despite your intense hatred of it. They wouldn't keep it in primetime leading into totally new pickup It's a Living on Sunday nights if Coach was a flop. And 9:30PM is a higher HUT (households using television) time than 7PM, Coach and Growing Pains basically switched places on Sunday nights with GP getting the lesser slot now. Hogan Family is thrown a one airing primetime bone after Growing Pains. Its weeknight time at 3AM is much worse than the midnight slot Coach does not get demoted from, leading into another new show. You were convinced Coach would leave completely, but Antenna obviously still wanted it in 2020, and they are leading it into two of their new/returning after a long absence pickups. Even if Coach starts to do poorly like you hope, that will just take down NewsRadio on weeknights and It's a Living on Sunday nights with it that you are looking forward to.
MikeLutton 12-11-2019, 06:09 PM i dont care for coach either but i don't hate it every show has to go somewhere seeing Growing pains n family ties at the 9:00pm hour is a surprise
AMackII 12-11-2019, 06:32 PM For the 1st time since 2015, Johnny Carson is not on Saturday & Sunday Nights:eek: but thankfully its on Weeknights though:).
icecream 12-11-2019, 06:34 PM Johnny Carson completely getting removed from weekends is a bit of a shock. While it started out really strong the first year with no repeated episodes, constantly cycling through the same limited selection now must have really caused its ratings to slide. It would help if Antenna TV could get more fresh episodes from the 70s and 80s, I know most of the 60s was destroyed. The weeknight Carson encore is also gone, although it still gets a good primary hour at 11PM. Family Ties getting promoted to primetime 6 days a week is a pleasant surprise. With its solitary 2:30AM airing on weeknights, I wouldn't have been surprised if FT was one of the shows expiring but instead it gets a big upgrade. Valentine's Day is often the worst day of the year for me personally speaking, but the That Girl marathon is something to look forward to in 2020. Its regular slots are great too. I like The Partridge Family but with only 4 seasons there wasn't enough for 10 episodes to constantly cycle on weekdays. The Facts and Strokes after school block makes sense, but it is sad to see Welcome Back, Kotter totally get shoved to 6AM now. Season 4 not being as popular doesn't help it. Good riddance to Soap in primetime! I am glad to see Soap get sent to graveyard hours where it belongs. The 6PM hour is a big improvement all 7 days. Benson and Barney Miller will make for a fantastic pairing and a big upgrade over lousy Maude. And all the shows that will air in the 6PM hour on weekends is an improvement over too new for Antenna Becker. Wings getting sent even later to 2AM sucks, but it at least gets a primetime airing back on Sundays making for a great pairing with Coach. With just three seasons it is also nice to still have My Two Dads keep a primetime airing. 3PM hour on weekends is a big downgrade with Webster replacing Head of the Class. That had one more good season than Kotter, but the Billy Connolly season 5 is still terrible and worse than Kotter season 4. Poor Jack Benny can't catch a break. It is strange that New Year's Eve plans are not announced yet with several later marathons scheduled. Hopefully it can go back to an all Jack Benny night like 2016 was. With his 258 total episodes I don't know why Antenna has such a limited selection there.
Svenfan1234 12-11-2019, 06:34 PM Coach is hardly doing poorly despite your intense hatred of it. One timeslot in primetime vs. 7 in primetime for It's a Living. Yeah, I don't think it would take down It's a Living. Wings also started out at 12AM & 12:30AM but they moved it to an earlier time eventually so I'm expecting the same with NewsRadio. I love how you're defending Coach as the #1 show on their network as if it had 9:30PM Mon-Sun when it clearly doesn't. Growing Pains has 6 days in a decent timeslot, too.

The difference with Wings is it got the full midnight hour when premiering while NewsRadio just has one episode at 12:30. I would have much rather seen WKRP return than NewsRadio, the last time NewsRadio was on it was a giant flop only used as filler.

Regardless, 9:30pm Sundays isn't a time I watch Antenna anyway. I'll just watch Collector's Call on MeTV. Much better.
And Wings was added in 2016, before Antenna started only doing one half hour for their shows. If it was then, NewsRadio would've been on for a full hour, too.
icecream 12-11-2019, 06:44 PM There is no New Year's Eve marathon for this year.Has Antenna TV confirmed that there is no marathon and they are sticking with the old regular schedule? That would be historic as I don't remember them just doing the usual shows and no marathon then. I am still ticked about missing the Newhart farewell marathon in 2017 when I was between affiliates.
icecream 12-11-2019, 06:56 PM And Wings was added in 2016, before Antenna started only doing one half hour for their shows. If it was then, NewsRadio would've been on for a full hour, too.Antenna has become a mix of some shows getting the full hour and others only getting a half hour. That Girl, The Facts of Life, and Diff'rent Strokes are all new/returning pickups with a full PM hour. If Antenna had more confidence in NewsRadio it would have gotten the full midnight hour, but they must not wanted to waste the direct Johnny Carson lead-in on it and went with proven show Coach as a buffer instead.
Svenfan1234 12-11-2019, 06:59 PM Antenna has become a mix of some shows getting the full hour and others only getting a half hour. If Antenna had more confidence in NewsRadio it would have gotten the full midnight hour, but they must not wanted to waste the direct Johnny Carson lead-in on it and went with proven show Coach as a buffer instead.
I don't really want to argue about this, but Coach did have a full hour on Weekdays on 10-11PM for a year until they shoved it to 12AM Weekdays and 7PM and 7:30PM and 11:30PM on Sundays and now it's only at 12AM Weekdays and 9:30PM Sundays, taking away two of its timeslots in a decent timeslot. I have no doubt that NewsRadio will move up in the schedule eventually. Also, aside from Coach: I thought more shows would expire which is why I thought they were adding more shows which is very interesting. My theory was that they would remove a few shows in January and then add them back in September when they add Who's the Boss? which I'm sure will get a nice primetime timeslot, along with What's Happening and the 90-minute Johnny Carsons returning by the fall (Johnny Carson may be by January 2021 with their yearly tradition of moving it a timeslot--but 11PM is better than 11:30 for me.)
icecream 12-11-2019, 07:08 PM I don't know about What's Happening returning, could see its spin-off also getting removed in September to make room for Who's the Boss? With What's Happening the only show being removed completely in January out of their growing roster of shows, its time on Antenna might be done.
Svenfan1234 12-11-2019, 07:10 PM I don't know about What's Happening returning, could see its spin-off also getting removed in September to make room for Who's the Boss? With What's Happening being the only show being removed completely in January out of their growing roster of shows, its time on Antenna might be done.
Maybe, but I also feel like they want to have at least one other show other than Who's the Boss similar to how they removed What's Happening last year along with What's Happening Now and Webster but they brought it back in July, so it wouldn't surprise me to see What's Happening back by the fall. What's Happening Now is 5-6PM on Weekends, they're going to bring Who's the Boss on primetime Weeknights more than likely.
icecream 12-11-2019, 07:12 PM Another excellent change on this schedule: the noon hour on Saturdays finally goes to regular programs instead of E/I! They might not move E/I to 7AM like I have been pulling for, but at least it ends an hour earlier now.
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 08:50 PM Whoever posted the schedule has apparently removed it. It's gone from the first page of the thread. I knew I should've printed it out. :(
EDIT: My computer automatically downloaded it when I clicked the attachment earlier. So yay! I have it to print lol. I just hope whoever posted it here didn't get in any trouble.
Merry24 12-11-2019, 08:57 PM I’m confused was the Schedule a fake? Or it just wasn’t supposed to be posted yet?
MikeLutton 12-11-2019, 08:58 PM yeah where did the schedule go?
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 09:06 PM Doubt its a fake because it was the same grid Antenna TV posts. It's been posted here early before but never taken down. I have the image saved on my computer but don't know how to insert it here. If I did, i'd throw it back up so people can quickly save it before it gets pulled again.
icecream 12-11-2019, 09:33 PM I am starting to wonder if that schedule was a fake. The poster who first put it up only had 3 posts total, down to 2 posts when they deleted the response to me about no New Year's Eve marathon. Now that the original schedule is gone, onlinesitcoms might have been messing with us and forging the Antenna site so it would look real but was really a fake.
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 09:48 PM I saved it to my computer and looking at it now it looks 100% genuine to me. It's exactly the same grid Antenna TV posts and it doesn't appear to be photo shopped or doctored in any way.
Also, a year ago or more someone posted the same schedule grid here before the official release, and it was correct, so it is possible people on the inside get the info early and leak it here.
I wonder if this time if ticked off Antenna TV and they got it pulled. It will be interesting to see if this matches the official release.
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 10:24 PM I just remembered something. The last time the schedule was leaked on here I was miffed because they got rid of "Good Morning World" which I really liked, so I posted the leaked image of the new schedule onto their Facebook page complaining what a lousy schedule it was and they quickly removed the image of the schedule that I posted. And the official release matched the leaked one when it came out....so it leads me to believe there's a sneaky little elf working there that likes to leak the new schedules and it ticks Antenna TV off lol.
icecream 12-11-2019, 10:27 PM Really Antenna TV shouldn't wait this long to release schedule changes to the public. It was probably decided on weeks ago.
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 10:39 PM Now that it's probably been leaked, I bet they'll throw it up on their site before the week is out. I'm half tempted to play with them and post the schedule on their Facebook page and gush on how much I love it.
stevea 12-11-2019, 11:04 PM What were the shows that were supposedly leaving? I didn't get to see the so-called schedule.
cfr1970 12-11-2019, 11:42 PM The only show leaving that I can see is the weekend Carson airings. Everything else is just being moved around to make way for the new shows. And from 5pm to 11pm weeknights, no full hour of the same show. All different half hour shows until Carson comes on at 11pm.
Archie Bunker's Place, Alice, and Three's Company are cut to one airing weeknights instead of a full hour.
EDIT: What's Happening is missing so looks like that's going away, but What's Happening Now is showing a full hour Saturdays at 5pm.
icecream 12-11-2019, 11:46 PM What were the shows that were supposedly leaving? I didn't get to see the so-called schedule. If that schedule was accurate, the only show leaving completely was What's Happening! Johnny Carson 90 minute episodes were surprisingly cut from weekends and it will just be the 60 minute episodes Monday-Friday now. what I remember of the leaked schedule that starts January 2

Thanks for bringing it back. Hopefully everyone gets to see it and copies it before it possibly gets pulled again. Though Catsrule has a very good photogenic memory.
EDIT: Looking at it again, i'm a bit surprised to see Murphy Brown back in the prime time hours. I don't think it did too well last time and I would've rather had a full hour of Designing Women from 10-11pm.

Can't see Murphy Brown lasting long at 10:30pm at all. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where Who's the Boss will head in the fall, replacing it. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Who's the Boss take Sundays at 9:30pm before It's a Living, seems like a good pairing to me.

Antenna TV probably think's it'll be a good pairing with Designing Women like it was back in the days of it's original Monday night airing on CBS. But that was when both shows were new and fresh, and they did make an excellent pairing back then.
Designing Women still holds up well 30 years later, but not Murphy Brown. So it's not as good a pairing as it once was. I think "It's a Living" would've made a more perfect pairing with DW in that 10PM hour.
As for Who's the Boss, I predict it gets thrown earlier...somewhere between 7 and 9pm when it starts because it's a much more family oriented show than the others.
stevea 12-13-2019, 05:30 PM I'm surprised to see them put Family Ties into prime time. They've had problems with it before.
Benson at 6 also surprises me. It hasn't done well either--Maude must have had trouble against The Flintstones.
Not many changes 7-3 daily. McHale's Navy must not have done well against Beaver, and the Partridges were getting tired.

Merry24 12-14-2019, 11:52 AM Antenna TV’s Facebook page announced the Newsradio New Years Day Marathon.
I agree with Catsrule I don’t understand why they won’t have a New Years Eve Marathon. There so many they could of done...
-The Jack Benny & Burns And Allen New Years Eve Curtain Call. 5AM-5AM
-I Dream of Jeannie New Years Eve Blast off Party 1pm-5AM.
-The Paul Lynde Show Marathon was pretty cool from last year. 3pm-5AM.
-Have a Ball with The Joey Bishop Show’s New Years Eve of Laugh’s 7AM-5AM.
-Mork & Mindy’s New-New Years Eve Marathon 12pm-5AM.
-ROPER-RING In to a Three’s Company All Nite New Years Eve Party 3pm-5AM.
-Come and get Happy New Years Eve with The Partridge Family 12pm-5AM.
Just something to consider instead of the same line up.

The Jack Benny/Burns & Allen New Year's Eve Curtain Call I would have tuned in for. The rest are good ideas, but I think the last thing Antenna needs to show is a Three's Company marathon. I think they're a bit too obsessed with that show the way they air it so much.
As for what i'll be watching---Decades channel is having a Twilight Zone marathon i'll tune in for along with my DVD viewing of "Poseiden Adventure" I like to pop in each New Year's Eve.
icecream 12-15-2019, 07:15 PM Can't see Murphy Brown lasting long at 10:30pm at all. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where Who's the Boss will head in the fall, replacing it. Murphy Brown is more compatible with Designing Women than Who's the Boss? is, I doubt they would stick Boss with the Designing Women lead-in and just one episode. Who's the Boss? will probably get a full hour, would be nice at 8PM leading into the Family Ties and Growing Pains block. It's a Living and Three's Company would maybe move to 10:00 as I don't see Designing Women doing well.
icecream 12-15-2019, 07:25 PM Benson at 6 also surprises me. It hasn't done well either--Maude must have had trouble against The Flintstones.
While Benson didn't last in primetime last year, 4PM is still a decent slot that it has held since then, better than many shows get. And now Benson is being upgraded to 6PM. Maude has bounced on and off the schedule so many times. They probably tried it in the 6PM hour to pair with their other current Norman Lear show Archie Bunker's Place, but Maude obviously didn't do great there either and didn't have the staying power of ABP. The Flintstones might do well, but being an animated comedy it wouldn't go after the same audience as Antenna's live action lineup. Barney Miller is a proven winner and being paired with Benson is a fantastic move.

I'm enjoying it as well and agree noon is a great place to air it. I think Partridge Family needed a break. I love the show, but it cycled around way too much. This is a fresh change from that and since That Girl has 40 episodes more than Partridge Family, it won't cycle back around as quickly.
I also like having Facts of Life at the 3pm hour. I'm enjoying the first season that's playing now before it became the regular 4 girls afterwards. And I never noticed before, but it looks like Blair had her eyebrows drawn on with a magic marker lol. In close up of her in the first season, I see no eyebrow hair on her--just thick pencil lines over her eyes! It's weird. Did she shave them off and draw them back on?!
icecream 02-25-2020, 11:51 PM Designing Women blows major chunks and is one of the worst long-running sitcoms ever made, trashy and not at all funny. I tried giving it some more chances as DW leads into Murphy Brown on both weeknights and Sundays and Delta Burke was great in DAG, but I like this show even less now than before it came to Antenna TV this year. May it get shoved to 3AM where it belongs in the next schedule change. A full hour of Murphy Brown, or putting Wings or Head of the Class in primetime weeknights would be a welcome improvement, and 90 minute episodes of Johnny Carson could return, replacing Designing Unfunny Women on Sunday nights.

I tried watching it when it started on Antenna TV but quickly tuned out. I wouldn't call it "trashy", but I would say it's very dated and doesn't hold up well 30 years later.
What's funny is I loved the show during it's original run, and in syndication in the early 90's, but I just can't get into it at all now and watch Roseanne on Cozi instead.
And those tirades of Julia's that I used to love back then are annoying and grating now. Just shut up woman lol. Who knows....maybe i'm just getting old and have no patience to watch 4 women constantly bitching about everything under the sun.
Svenfan1234 02-29-2020, 11:30 AM To be honest, I don't think they'll change much beside adding Who's the Boss this fall. They don't really shakeup their schedule unless it's doing badly. And honestly, it doesn't matter to me what times shows are on because I just record them now if I can't see them live and see them on my own schedule. It's nice that way.
Svenfan1234 03-04-2020, 10:28 PM OK, schedule change on March 30th according to Antenna's Facebook page. Johnny Carson will be back at 10pm.
stevea 03-04-2020, 11:39 PM I wonder if they're just swapping 10 and 11.
cfr1970 03-04-2020, 11:47 PM Designing Women & Murphy Brown must be bombing.
stevea 03-04-2020, 11:52 PM Or Carson is doing worse at 11 than it was at 10.
Svenfan1234 03-04-2020, 11:57 PM Or Carson is doing worse at 11 than it was at 10.
I don't think so myself, but we'll likely never find out the reason. Antenna said the full schedule will be posted in a couple weeks. I think it's Designing Women and Murphy Brown that are bombing in the ratings and they need to move them to different slots, but again, we'll likely never know the reason.
icecream 03-05-2020, 12:10 AM Designing Women bombed like the piece of crap show it is, dragging down Murphy Brown and Johnny Carson with it. It would be nice to see Wings get a timeslot upgrade and move to 11PM, Murphy can be 11:30PM and Designing Women sent to Wings' current graveyard slot.
cfr1970 03-05-2020, 01:10 AM Wings at 11pm would be great. I miss seeing that in the evenings.
AMackII 03-05-2020, 01:35 AM OK, schedule change on March 30th according to Antenna's Facebook page. Johnny Carson will be back at 10pm.
Yes! 10pm ET is the right time for Johnny Carson reruns to be aired on Antenna TV
Svenfan1234 03-05-2020, 11:04 AM I bet Murphy Brown bombed badly in the ratings and Designing Women went down with it because it's paired up with it. Designing Women will likely be moved to another time in the evening but I think Murphy Brown is the cause of the change honestly. They've tried too many times to make it work between 10 and 11:30pm and it's never retained any of those time slots for longer than half a year. My guess is they'll be burying Murphy now at a late-late timeslot.
Svenfan1234 03-05-2020, 11:07 AM Wings at 11pm would be great. I miss seeing that in the evenings.
It would be nice to see, I agree, but I don't see that happening right now.
Svenfan1234 03-05-2020, 11:11 AM Here's my best prediction for an evening change:
6PM Benson (this stays the same)
6:30PM Three's Company (seems like a good lead-in to Archie Bunker's Place)
7PM Archie Bunker's Place
7:30PM Alice
8PM It's a Living
8:30PM Designing Women (this would be paired up with It's a Living)
9PM Family Ties
9:30PM Barney Miller (they have had Barney Miller in the past as a lead-in to Johnny Carson)
10PM Johnny Carson
icecream 03-05-2020, 12:57 PM I bet Murphy Brown bombed badly in the ratings and Designing Women went down with it because it's paired up with it. My guess is they'll be burying Murphy now at a late-late timeslot. No, if the only problem was Murphy Brown, they could move a proven hit like Barney Miller or Three's Company to 10:30, keeping Designing Women at 10:00 and Johnny Carson at 11:00. Designing Women is a lousy show that Johnny Carson is directly replacing now, DW wouldn't be affected by its leadout. Murphy Brown would be more likely dragged down by Designing Unfunny Women's lead-in. They could have also put in a full hour of DW at 10:00 if Murphy was the weak link, but sent in their top show to replace it in primetime instead.
Merry24 03-05-2020, 01:50 PM What will air at 11pm & 11:30pm?
Will Who’s The Boss? air instead of waiting until Fall?
Or will it be back to back episodes of Johnny Carson?
Or will something else air there?
Personally, I would love to see Bewitched pick up the 11 hour if not maybe Three’s Company can Return or Joey Bishop Show or even That Girl?

I think Who's the Boss? will still air in the fall because my speculation is that their contract won't let them have it any earlier.
Svenfan1234 03-05-2020, 02:18 PM No, if the only problem was Murphy Brown, they could move a proven hit like Barney Miller or Three's Company to 10:30, keeping Designing Women at 10:00 and Johnny Carson at 11:00. Murphy Brown clearly was the weak link because they can just send Murphy Brown to somewhere like Midnight or later but they're clearly setting Designing Women up to go earlier in primetime to pair it with something like It's a Living. My prediction is they will have a proven hit like Barney Miller or Three's Company now lead in to Johnny Carson but again, just my speculation and we'll find out on the 16th. Murphy Brown didn't last at 10 or 11pm and now it's not lasting at 10:30. Clearly it's the weak link and not Designing Women.
icecream 03-05-2020, 03:28 PM We don't clearly know Designing Women is being set up for earlier in primetime. It is a lousy show that deserves sent to graveyard hours, probably bombed terribly after coming to Antenna TV like it has bombed everywhere else, hence why Johnny Carson is replacing it to bring back all the viewers that fled at 10PM. This would be a good schedule if through 5PM remains mostly the same. Gimme a Break! would replace Welcome Back, Kotter early mornings.
5PM Welcome Back, Kotter
5:30PM Head of the Class
6PM Benson
6:30PM 227
7PM Growing Pains
7:30PM Family Ties
8PM Alice
8:30PM It's a Living
9PM Archie Bunker's Place
9:30PM Three's Company
10PM Johnny Carson
11PM Barney Miller
11:30PM Wings
12AM Coach
12:30AM Murphy Brown
1AM Designing Women
1:30AM NewsRadio
2AM Becker
2:30AM Dear John
Another totally different possibility is if The Facts of Life is doing so well at 3PM they want to move it into the 9PM hour in primetime leading into Johnny Carson. Diff'rent Strokes might get promoted to the 8PM hour then if that happens, with a lot more shuffling around. Either way Designing Women has surely flopped, and they can't wait to lessen its damage getting it far away from primetime.
cfr1970 03-05-2020, 03:54 PM Designing Women comes on before Murphy Brown so that's leading the 10PM hour. If there's low enough ratings there for them to move Carson back, it clearly indicates to me it's DW that's causing that whole hour to sink being that it's the hour's lead in.
If they're just flip flopping the 10 & 11PM hour shows, then it more likely indicates that the channel is just listening to viewers who clamor for Carson to be back at 10PM like they're saying on their FB page.
But....if DW and MB aren't put into the 11pm hour on 3/30, then I think we'll know that it was because those shows bombed in the 10PM hour. Personally speaking, I don't hate DW, but think the show is too dated just like MB is and viewers just don't care much to tune into them again.
I predict both DW & MB will be pushed to midnight and Coach & NewsRadio take the 11PM hour.
Merry24 03-05-2020, 03:55 PM I wonder if Sunday’s airring of Designing Woman at 11pm & 11:30pm and Murphy Brown’s airring at 12AM might also be effected?
merlinjones 03-05-2020, 05:22 PM Please - Bewitched (either 2 episodes or with Jeannie) at 11PM Eastern, 8PM Pacific!
MikeLutton 03-06-2020, 12:09 AM good thing family matters dont air on antenna tv some of the funniest things happen during the credits and we will not get to see them due to the credit crunching.just my 2 cents
Plater of Everything 03-06-2020, 12:48 AM good thing family matters dont air on antenna tv some of the funniest things happen during the credits and we will not get to see them due to the credit crunching.just my 2 cents
Shows that have things happen during the credits don't have the credits crunched. Wings and Sabrina are two examples

Svenfan1234 03-06-2020, 04:26 PM I was just thinking that it might be fun IMO if for April 1st, Antenna would show their show at opposite time slots (except for Johnny Carson)--with the schedule as is now, you'd have Benson at 6AM, Barney Miller at 6:30, Archie Bunker's Place at 7AM, and so on. What would you guys think if that happened? I think myself it would be a very fun idea to switch things up for one day like that.
stevea 03-06-2020, 06:46 PM That's a great idea! Two things they should also do:
1. Put a bug on the bottom, April fool! And maybe a promo with some appropriate explanation, once per show.
2. Make it a total surprise, no changes to TV guides.

Yes! I think it would be a fun idea for them to do one of these years.
Svenfan1234 03-06-2020, 08:18 PM Here's what it would look like using Antenna's current schedule:
6:00AM Benson
6:30AM Barney Miller
7:00AM Archie Bunker's Place
7:30AM Alice
8:00AM It's a Living
8:30AM Three's Company

And for extra fun, they wouldn't show the right episodes. Maybe some could be Christmas-themed, Halloween-themed, etc. for more fun! Just an idea I had.:)

Spring 2020 Marathon Suggestions:
The Jack Bunny Easter Program Marathon April 12, Sun 2AM-10pm.
It’s A Living Mother’s Day Marathon May 10, Sun 12pm-May 11 Mon 1AM.
Vacation Themed episodes Memorial Day May 25 Mon 5AM-5AM.
cfr1970 03-09-2020, 12:33 PM I know it's unlikely, but I hope they replace That Girl at noon with something else. I thought i'd like seeing it again, but it turns out I don't. I viewed the whole series a few years ago and once was enough for me.
The main character is an annoying blithering, childlike idiot and I don't know how the boyfriend put up with someone like her for all those seasons, especially since she apparently wasn't putting out either. In real life, the man would've left her in the middle of the first season than continue his suffering.
I'd gladly welcome The Partridge Family back at noon and throw That Girl to 6am.
Merry24 03-11-2020, 11:59 PM Hmm Antenna TV Facebook page says Johnny Carson is on at 10pm. Starting April 1st. I feel an April Fools stunt. Was Johnny Carson on Designing Woman? lol.

No stunt. They're really moving it back to 10PM starting April 1 and no one knows yet what they're placing at 11pm. They could be just switching Designing Women/Murphy Brown hour with Carson or possibly something else. We have to wait and see.
But many seem thrilled to have Carson back at 10pm. I just wish they were new episodes to be shown.
icecream 03-12-2020, 12:29 AM Before they said March 30 for Carson moving back to 10PM.
cfr1970 03-12-2020, 12:34 AM All I can think is that maybe they have to wait for the start of the new month for the change? It is odd they changed the date though.
merlinjones 03-12-2020, 01:17 AM I just want 2 Bewitched at 7 or 8PM (PT) M-F.
Svenfan1234 03-14-2020, 10:23 AM So Antenna TV just put out a promo that I saw the tail end of last night that had the date April 1st. It also may or may not have had the 5a | 2a pt they do on their promos. Again, I saw it very briefly during Murphy Brown's credits. It may be a marathon, but again, I have no idea. Nothing is on their social media as of now about it. Given they heavily advertise these things, we'll all know what's going on soon. Just thought I'd give you all a heads up.

No. I saw it again. They're doing a day of themed episodes of their shows involving slapstick on April 1st. No new shows are coming until this fall.

Okay, thank you.
Svenfan1234 03-16-2020, 12:13 PM Here's the new Antenna TV schedule:
Dear John, Family Ties, Head of the Class, & My Two Dads leave
Also notes:
227, Silver Spoons, Benson, The Hogan Family, Wings, etc. are relegated to Weekend slots only.
251070
Here's the new Antenna TV schedule:
Family Ties & Head of the Class leave

So there was something that was going on.
Svenfan1234 03-16-2020, 12:15 PM I also forgot Dear John. Hopefully they didn't lose the rights to the CBS shows, although Webster and Wings are from CBS and they aren't leaving, and Mork & Mindy isn't leaving. I hope Dear John & Head of the Class come back. I've been recording them. I can always just record It's a Living from 4-5am and watch it the next day, which I will do.
Also just noticed My Two Dads is gone. Much less variety.

You can edit your post and include those shows.
Svenfan1234 03-16-2020, 12:18 PM Also, I wish they would've brought back the 90 minute Johnny Carsons. Also also, I doubt this format will stick. There will come a time they'll be back to the half hours instead of hours. And as much as I like It's a Living, I have no doubt that Alice and Three's Company pull in the better ratings for them.

The new schedule doesn't have any new shows?
Svenfan1234 03-16-2020, 12:23 PM The new schedule doesn't have any new shows?
Nope. Who's the Boss is new but it's coming in the fall. They haven't announced a date yet.
Svenfan1234 03-16-2020, 12:23 PM Disappointed that they removed shows like Dear John & Head of the Class altogether. Hopefully they will be back.

Merry24 03-16-2020, 07:15 PM I know this might be an unpopular thing to say but there 80’s & 90’s programming seems not to be very popular. I would love to see them get more programming from the 50’s & 60’s & 70’s.

I would like to see them get Chico and the Man.
icecream 03-16-2020, 08:07 PM Coach in the 11PM hour is the best part of the new schedule, plus it gets expanded on Sundays. I am glad That Girl, Diff'rent Strokes, and The Facts of Life are staying put, also I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched keeping their primetime Saturday hours. Benson leaving weekdays is too bad, but at least it keeps the 5PM hour on Sundays. Head of the Class totally leaving sucks, I would rather see it instead of The Hogan Family in the Sundays 7PM hour. Family Ties and Growing Pains in the 9PM hour was nice while it lasted, the new 7-10PM I don't care for. My Two Dads will also be missed. It's a Living must have bombed even worse than Designing Women with it getting sent to 4AM.
Svenfan1234 03-16-2020, 08:09 PM The best part (and only part I'll watch) is Johnny Carson. I'll just watch It's a Living the next day after it airs because I'll record it. Time changes don't bother me.
cfr1970 03-16-2020, 08:38 PM Back to 1 hour of Archie Bunker's Place is good. I know it's a short series that cycles back around quickly, but I like the show.
So Designing Women & Murphy Brown were bombing to be thrown into 2am oblivion. Good riddance to both. I would've rather had an hour of Wings at 11pm, but oh well. Can't have everything. I watch my All in the Family dvd at that hour anyway.
Really glad the 9am to 4pm block is unchanged. With the exception of That (annoying) Girl, I love it. Overall i'm happy with the schedule for the next 3 months.
cfr1970 03-16-2020, 08:45 PM I also like that Saturday evenings stay put. I love McHale's Navy, Hazel, Jeannie & Bewitched all together. I'd prefer Burns & Allen over That (idiot) Girl at 11pm, but since that's still new for Antenna TV, I just have to suffer with it until they toss her to 2am with the other graveyard shows.
stevea 03-16-2020, 09:00 PM I know this might be an unpopular thing to say but there 80’s & 90’s programming seems not to be very popular. I would love to see them get more programming from the 50’s & 60’s & 70’s.
I was looking thru the 80s sitcoms on this site, and there really isn't much to choose from. There has to be a reason Charles in Charge isn't seen, for example. Newhart seems to have failed previously on Antenna TV. Even Mama's Family, one of my favorites, was kicked around on MeTV before they gave up on it.
It would be great to see them get more into some other 50s and 60s shows, but some may not be available without spending a lot of money on remastering. I remember a few years back, Antenna TV wanted to give The Farmer's Daughter a try, but no one wanted to spend the money on restoration. Also it's another split BW/Color show (2 seasons BW, 1 season color).
stevea 03-16-2020, 09:06 PM My hunch is Family Ties is gone for good. They have tried and tried with that show, to no avail.
stevea 03-16-2020, 09:11 PM Also, they've moved Silver Spoons around a lot. I'm thinking it's hanging on by a thread.
stevea 03-16-2020, 09:17 PM Also, I wish they would've brought back the 90 minute Johnny Carsons. Also also, I doubt this format will stick. That (total) half hour thing was a disaster for them a couple of years ago. IIRC it only lasted a month or so.
Merry24 03-16-2020, 09:52 PM I agree I love the Weekday 9AM-4pm programming. Saturday Nights are the best! It would be awesome if they can make EveryNite Saturday night lol! I also like how E/I is no longer at 12pm.
The shows that air at 2AM 3AM on the East coast are 11pm 12AM west coast so perhaps there giving those 80’s & 90’s programming shows a try there.
I think they should do this for Weekdays
(East Coast)
5AM-6AM Johnny Carson 80’s & 90’s
6AM-7AM Newsradio
7AM Murphy Brown
7:30AM Designing Woman
8AM Becker
8:30AM It’s A Living
9AM-10AM Coach
10AM-11AM The Facts Of Life
11AM-12pm Diff’rent Strokes

1pm-2pm Barney Miller
2pm-3pm Archie Bunkers Place
3pm-4pm Mork & Mindy
4pm-5pm The Partridge Family
5pm-6pm Father Knows Best
6pm-7pm Dennis the Menace
7pm-8pm Hazel
8pm-9pm Alice
9pm-10pm Three’s Company
10pm-11:30pm Johnny Carson 70’s
11:30pm-12:30AM Bewitched
12:30AM-1:30AM I Dream of Jeannie
1:30AM-2:30AM That Girl
2:30AM-3:30AM The Joey Bishop Show
3:30AM-4:30AM The Burns And Allen Show
4:30AM Mchale’s Navy
cfr1970 03-17-2020, 12:18 AM I just noticed that every single show airing M-F on the new schedule gets a full hour slot each. Is this the first time they've done that? For shows I like, of course I think it's great. But it does lesson the variety a bit.
I also just noticed they added a 2nd Wings Sundays to make it a full hour at 9pm and i'm thrilled about that! I really miss that show.
Also, they've moved Silver Spoons around a lot. I'm thinking it's hanging on by a thread.
Why are they moving Silver Spoons around a lot?
stevea 03-17-2020, 07:57 AM I'm thinking it's because of ratings problems. It's the same thing that happened with Newhart and Family Ties (both eventually dropped), and is now happening with Murphy Brown. With Murphy Brown it's like I said in a post about a year ago, that show has always been a syndication problem. With that one, it's probably because it's so topical and dated.

Makes sense.
merlinjones 03-17-2020, 09:07 PM I would be much happier with Bewitched and Jeannie in prime time or prime access (PT) daily. Those 80s shows just can't compete with the 60s.

icecream 03-19-2020, 03:38 PM I'm thinking it's because of ratings problems. It's the same thing that happened with Newhart and Family Ties (both eventually dropped), Not only are Newhart and Family Ties two of the best sitcoms from the 80s, they are also two of the best sitcoms from any decade. Quality long-running shows they are (throw Benson in with them which will soon be gone from weekdays) that deserve much better ratings in syndication. I will take Newhart, Family Ties, and Benson any day over highly overrated sitcoms like The Golden Girls, Friends, Married with Children, and Three's Company.

The full schedule of Antenna TV's "Binge TV for Free" is as follows:
Saturday 3/28: Murphy Brown, ATV Goes All News with Murphy Brown
Sunday 3/29: NewsRadio, All News Continues with NewsRadio
Saturday 4/4: Alice, Mel's Diner Remains Open
Sunday 4/5: Archie Bunker’s Place, Archie's Bar Remains Open
Saturday 4/11: Head of the Class, School's Still in Session
Sunday 4/12: Welcome Back, Kotter, School's Still in Session
Saturday 4/18: It's A Living, Above the Top Remains Open
Sunday 4/19: Wings, 30th Anniversary Marathon
Saturday 4/25: The Partridge Family, Spend the Day with Family
Sunday 4/26: Three's Company, Spend the Day with Friends

Sunday 5/3: Coach, ATV Still has Sports with Coach
Saturday 5/9: Family Ties, Spend the Day with Family
Sunday 5/10: The Facts of Life, Mother's Day with Mrs. Garrett
Well at least it's only on the weekends which is good. Though i'll miss my Saturday evening classics which I love. I'll tune into Archie Bunker's Place, It's a Living, Wings (yay!), Family Ties and Facts of Life. The other weeks, i'll pop in dvds.
Merry24 03-20-2020, 12:51 PM Yes this actually back fired on me. I was finally going to be home on Saturday night to watch the Classics but now all these 80’s & 90’s programming will be taken over shucks. Oh well atleast they are keeping the 12AM-rest of the night line up in tact.
icecream 03-20-2020, 01:03 PM Poor My Two Dads. With these marathons added, it only has one week left in Sunday primetime instead of two. But several of the marathons are shows I like, which is good. Murphy Brown, Head of the Class, Welcome Back Kotter, Wings, Coach, Family Ties, and The Facts of Life are all excellent picks. I like The Partridge Family as well, but not as much as the other shows I mentioned.
See the blog at noon ET today to see what ATV is doing for everyone during this pandemic.
Thank you for the link.
icecream 03-20-2020, 07:40 PM Even with all these added marathons, Benson still has never gotten one on Antenna TV. A lot of the marathon choices I like, but I would much rather see Benson than NewsRadio, Alice, Archie Bunker's Place, It's a Living, Three's Company, and Becker.
cfr1970 03-21-2020, 01:28 PM I just realized this doesn't start till next weekend so we get one more week of the Saturday night classics before they go away till 5/16. YAY!! :clap:party:
Merry24 03-21-2020, 01:50 PM True! I wish the Saturday Binge thing started at 12AM- LateNight Friday-Saturday 6pm. While Sunday’s can go 2pm-2AM. Just my thought.
So that way they can still show
6pm The Partridge Family
7pm Mchale’s Navy
8pm Hazel
9pm I Dream Of Jeannie
10pm Bewitched
11pm That Girl
12AM The Paul Lynde Show
12:30AM Lotsa Luck
1AM The Burns And Allen Show
2AM The Jack Benny Program
3AM The Joey Bishop Show
4AM Dennis the Menace

Agreed. This is the best Sat. night schedule they've had in a while and I hope it stays unchanged for the whole year once the binge thing is done. I'm NOT a fan of the marathons at all. Even for shows I like, it's still too much.
icecream 03-23-2020, 01:48 PM McHale's Navy sucks, I would much rather see Jack Benny in the 7PM hour on Saturdays. The Jack Benny Program deserves so much better treatment than Antenna TV has given it. And I liked the Hazel/Jeannie/Bewitched primetime, but Hazel shouldn't have started with the awful season 5 there.

I agree with you on Hazel, catsrule. Hazel would’ve started with either Season 1 or Season 2 instead in its Saturday Evening Slot on Antenna TV though.
cfr1970 03-23-2020, 02:08 PM It's funny how our opinions here can differ so much. I really love McHale's Navy and think i's a fun show while Jack Benny puts me to sleep.
TVFactFan 03-23-2020, 08:56 PM The full schedule of Antenna TV's "Binge TV for Free" is as follows:
Saturday 5/2: Becker, The Doctor is Here for You
Sunday 5/3: Coach, ATV Still has Sports with Coach
Saturday 5/9: Family Ties, Spend the Day with Family
Sunday 5/10: The Facts of Life, Mother's Day with Mrs. Garrett
Well at least it's only on the weekends which is good. Though i'll miss my Saturday evening classics which I love. I'll tune into Archie Bunker's Place, It's a Living, Wings (yay!), Family Ties and Facts of Life. The other weeks, i'll pop in dvds.
I love that Welcome Back Kotter and Archie Bunker's place is on a sunday
TVFactFan 03-27-2020, 08:22 PM Yes this actually back fired on me. I was finally going to be home on Saturday night to watch the Classics but now all these 80’s & 90’s programming will be taken over shucks. Oh well atleast they are keeping the 12AM-rest of the night line up in tact.
This weekend's schedule is visual *******
Merry24 03-27-2020, 10:26 PM If these Binge Marathons were to try to help escape people from what’s going on than they should of had Marathons of..
The Jack Benny Program
The Burns And Allen Show
The Joey Bishop Show
The Paul Lynde Show
Johnny Carson 70’s
Lotsa Luck
Mchale’s Navy
Father Knows Best
Dennis the Menace
Hazel
That Girl (I know they already had one)
I Dream Of Jeannie
Bewitched
They Could of even did there Classic Christmas Collection/ Yule Log/Christmas Through The Years Easter Weekend.Oh well maybe Antenna TV will air Marathons of these later in the year.
The only ones I do agree with that Antenna TV is arring is The Partridge Family & Three’s Company.

This is a much better list than the more modern shows they're doing. I'd rather watch all those for the weekend binges instead.

Well they should have saved that Bet a Million ep for Saturday
As my dad used to say........Antenna TV is A$$ Backwards

TVFactFan 04-02-2020, 05:56 PM Not even showing the final episode
Im just glad that its nice switch up from the typical saturday antenna tv schedule and plan to enjoy it.
cfr1970 04-03-2020, 11:06 PM Friday night Carson is 90 minutes!! I didn't know that.I just turned it on and found out. The schedule says every Friday Carson airs from 10-11:30pm. Yay!! :)
icecream 04-15-2020, 01:06 AM I decided to give NewsRadio another chance with the pilot airing tonight after the Coach hour. While it will never be on the level of the classic radio sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati or its often paired with show on NBC Wings, there is potential in this show. Phil Hartman, Dave Foley, and Maura Tierney are good at their roles. Phil Hartman could definitely use more screen time though. NewsRadio is also a much better show than Antenna TV's other 90s pickup this year Designing Unfunny Women.

I think it's great, too. I wish it would Saturdays and Sundays, though.
icecream 04-19-2020, 01:53 AM It's a Living is no Wings. That show's ensemble cast was top notch, except for Farrah Forke. And Amy Yasbeck is a decent actress but a little of Casey goes a long way. The writing isn't as good on It's a Living either. However, Crystal was excellent as always. Paul Kreppel is very funny and a good musician as well. I only saw the 5PM and 11PM hours, was originally going to try more of the marathon but that was before Phantom of the Opera's limited time available performance was announced. The season 3 episodes I saw Crystal's curly hair was nice, but she needed a bigger role. They wisely increased her role in season 6. The manager was a good actress, but the other two waitresses in season 3 were really boring. I did get a pleasant treat at 5:30 when Michael Richards appeared as a holdup guy. It was nice to see him in something other than Seinfeld. Danny Thomas was good at 11:30, and the dishwasher seemed real familiar but I couldn't place him, wasn't on long. The theme song was excellent. I do easily prefer It's a Living to more popular waitress show Alice.

I don't mind Casey as much as I used to, Farrah is still eh. Amy Yasbeck is really good in the John Ritter episode. You would think they were married in real life. ;)

Here’s how I feel: I like It’s A Living but LOVE LOVE LOVE WINGS.
icecream 04-22-2020, 08:40 PM A lot of us would agree that Three's Company is way overplayed on Antenna TV. Someone isn't happy its marathon coming up Sunday got shortened, but their fans should be grateful for the cushy 9PM hour and all the other good slots it has gotten over the years. Compare that with several of my favorites that don't get a fair shot. I will paste what I posted on the other thread here.
They changed the marathon format for all the shows, not just Three's Company. Ratings for the 12 hour marathons probably dropped by the end and Antenna regretted making them that long. At least Three's Company fans can still see it plenty with a cushy 9PM weeknight hour. There are several shows I like that don't get much of a shot. Wings only night is Sunday. Benson is totally off the schedule until the weekend marathons are over, then it has just an hour on Sunday. Family Ties, Head of the Class, and My Two Dads were totally removed from the schedule. Welcome Back, Kotter is not on weekdays at all, neither is Growing Pains. The Jack Benny Program gets very poor treatment. Bachelor Father and Mr. Belvedere were shows I used to enjoy but don't think Antenna TV is interested in bringing them back. Three's Company fans should be grateful for how well it's been treated compared to many of Antenna TV's shows. A few hours might have been cut from the marathon but it still gets treated like a king. Many shows don't have that luxury.
Also, I had forgotten about Newhart when posting that paragraph, got screwed out of seeing its New Year's Eve farewell marathon when I was between affiliates. And it hasn't aired on Antenna TV since.

Are you a WINGS fan?
icecream 04-22-2020, 08:45 PM Are you a WINGS fan?Of course, you have posted in my Wings/Friends thread and seen other comments on my being a fan. I am grateful for the nice marathon it got, but it is now back to one hour a week. Their current 5-10PM lineup on weeknights doesn't appeal to me at all except for Barney Miller.

Oops. Sorry. My bad. :bonk: There’s a great Full Series out by Mill Creek for $30. If you can afford to get it, it’s a great deal for the price.

If you can afford to get it, it’s a great deal for the price.I agree that's a great deal. Unfortunately I don't have a DVD player at my apartment. Well when things settle down one of these days. It REALLY IS a great set for the price. If you’re able to, think about buying a portable DVD player. Some are very reasonable. I got a basic one for $50 a few years ago.
icecream 05-03-2020, 06:46 PM I had sent a message to Antenna TV about getting rid of their E/I shows. They plan on cutting down to one hour of E/I starting in September.
Svenfan1234 05-03-2020, 06:48 PM I would love for this fall to see all the shows removed this spring back... Dear John, Family Ties, Head of the Class, My Two Dads, and more 227 and Benson.
TVFactFan 05-03-2020, 06:56 PM I had sent a message to Antenna TV about getting rid of their E/I shows. They plan on cutting down to one hour of E/I starting in September.
I sent a message to them about why FOL is getting a 12 hour marathon and not the other shows and the response was
"May 10th is Mother's Day"
:lol::lol::lol:
Not....."Well we decided to only do 12 hour marathon for Anniversary and Holiday weekends.
What a empty ass response
icecream 05-03-2020, 07:44 PM The Facts of Life marathon will actually be 24 hours starting at 5AM on Mother's Day. With 2020 being the first year FOL has aired on Antenna TV, I think it would have been their marathon choice then even if all the binge weekends hadn't been added.
icecream 05-08-2020, 02:06 PM What shows on Antenna TV's roster are not on DVD yet or only have a few seasons? I think Benson only has the first two, and Head of the Class might not have anything. Murphy Brown might have only the first season as well. Shows like that not having more availability they should give better slots in their September schedule change.
Svenfan1234 05-08-2020, 02:13 PM What shows on Antenna TV's roster are not on DVD yet or only have a few seasons? I think Benson only has the first two, and Head of the Class might not have anything. Murphy Brown might have only the first season as well. Shows like that not having more availability they should give better slots in their September schedule change.
Silver Spoons & Who's the Boss only have Season 1 out on DVD, as well as Archie Bunker's Place. My Two Dads has 2 out of 3 seasons out. Head of the Class is available on streaming on the Roku Channel but not DVD, same with The Hogan Family, It's a Living, The Paul Lynde Show, & Dear John. Those all have no seasons out on DVD. What's Happening Now only has 1 season out as well, same with 227, and Webster doesn't have all seasons out either.
icecream 05-08-2020, 04:57 PM With The Paul Lynde Show only having one season there wouldn't be enough of it to ever have a weekday slot anyway, and even of that season I don't think Antenna has the whole series available for some odd reason. And with as much as 227 has popped up on various channels over the years, would have thought it had more released. Who's the Boss? used to air more frequently on cable, but this will be its broadcast network airings in a very long time. I guess ION is technically a broadcast network but doesn't seem like it, and even that was awhile back now. What about The Jack Benny Program? It has 259 episodes total, but Antenna seems to have a really small selection of him. I have a 39 episode sampler of his DVD I found once, but don't think much more is out there. It would really be a shame if Jack Benny had a bunch of his run erased like Johnny Carson's 60s shows were.
Svenfan1234 05-08-2020, 06:40 PM Burns and Allen is another one that has nothing beyond the public domain releases either. Archie Bunker's Place only has 1 of 4 Seasons released. As for Jack Benny, it may be that the versions Antenna airs, the edited versions, are the only ones that exist in good condition now, but that's just speculation on my part.
icecream 05-08-2020, 11:59 PM Antenna has such a big roster of shows it is hard to fit everything in. What I would maybe schedule for September when Who's the Boss? comes and E/I is reduced to one hour, trying to get more shows not DVD complete featured as well as others that don't get great treatment. I am removing What's Happening Now, its parent show was removed at the end of 2019 so the spin-off might be joining it.

TVFactFan 05-09-2020, 12:29 AM With The Paul Lynde Show only having one season there wouldn't be enough of it to ever have a weekday slot anyway, and even of that season I don't think Antenna has the whole series available for some odd reason.
Paul Lynde Show be aired once a week lol Why do you think Antenna TV dont have the whole season?
TVFactFan 05-09-2020, 12:33 AM Antenna has such a big roster of shows it is hard to fit everything in.

Merry24 05-09-2020, 12:39 AM I noticed during the Christmas Holiday Season The Jack Benny Program’s Christmas episodes never air during Antenna TV’s Classic Christmas Collection or Antenna TV’s Christmas Through The Years does Antenna TV not have the rights to those episodes?
Jack Does Christmas Shopping 1954
Christmas Shopping Show 1957
Christmas Gift Exchange 1958
Jack goes Christmas Shopping 1960
Christmas Party 1961
In addition The Burns And Allen Christmas episodes don’t all air..,
Gracies Christmas 1950
Christmas with Mame Kelly 1951
I sure would love to see these during the Christmas Holidays.
icecream 05-09-2020, 12:04 PM Paul Lynde Show be aired once a week lol Why do you think Antenna TV dont have the whole season? Some posters have mentioned them skipping certain Paul Lynde episodes.

I sure would love to see these during the Christmas Holidays.Probably not. Svenfan mentioned Antenna TV only has public domain episodes of Jack Benny and Burns and Allen, so a large portion of episodes are not available.
JLTV also has The Jack Benny Program as well, and I wonder if those episodes are public domain.
icecream 05-10-2020, 02:20 PM Grrr, an alert about a thunderstorm warning came during this Facts of Life episode. The picture was still there, but sound was muted for the annoying guy from the National Weather Service going on for 3-4 minutes. It would have been nice if they could have at least waited for this commercial break where nothing would have been missed. I can hear it's been heavy rain and storming outside, don't need programming cut into for that. Not even like it was for a tornado warning either.
icecream 05-10-2020, 02:51 PM Go away pests! I just missed the last few minutes of the first half for Blair's tax episode. Just the crawler appearing on screen wouldn't be bad, but that irritating guy causing the show to be muted is not cool.

Everything this station does is ass backwards
icecream 05-10-2020, 03:28 PM This wouldn't have been an Antenna TV decision, was something my local affiliate did. The warning was for some counties in Indiana and Ohio.

Antenna TV has the episodes of Jack Benny and Burns and Allen that are offered to them by Universal (Jack Benny) and Sony (Burns and Allen.) They do not air the public domain versions AFAIK.
