I've been wondering this for a while. I mean how are the Wrather family able to realistically support themselves given that Jenna, the mom is widowed (and thus, is the only one bringing in any income) and has four adolescent children? And they presumably don't have any immediate relatives or friends (like for instance on Full House, which is also about a widowed parent with young kids) to help out.

The younger son, Ollie, is not yet adolescent

Their father was a fireman, who evidently died in the line of duty (I forget if that was the case or not), so I suppose his death gave them a halfway decent inheritance.
