This week marks the 40th anniversary of the first Star Trek movie. After years of waiting and petitioning, Trekkies celebrated the return of their favorite characters with the visually stunning and largely sleep-inducing Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Fortunately, the series quickly got better. It also got worse.
