Happy viewing Hazel Anyday, and btw, have you resumed watching Hazel? I watch a double header on my days off from work-so I don’t really o.d. On it.
Hazel Anyday 12-03-2019, 02:08 AM Sorry to you too, Ma, nothing wrong with making sure everyone knows. I should've kept my smart remarks to myself. Good job to you too.
Well, Oh Nuts, I just couldn't let a Thanksgiving go by without seeing Mr. Griffin come in in his big tan overcoat and ask Hazel to make Peach Cobbler for Thanksgiving. I like that episode just for Mr. Griffin alone, also in that episode Hazel & Mr. B are on the same team, Hazel working with Mr. B instead of against his wishes. By the way, in the uncut version of that episode 3-11 "Hazel and the Vanishing Hero" you get to see the ending scene where Mr. Griffin is eating 2nds in the kitchen along with Mrs. Mitchell and her husband Leif Erikson. That great scene is never shown on TV in syndication, the first time I remember seeing it was by watching the commercial DVD. So I'm grateful to those commercial DVDs even if the color quality on them is not "remastered".
It's those many episodes where Hazel ignores Mr. B's instructions and works around and against him, those are the ones that gave me indigestion as I'd eat breakfast watching and yelling out "You're fired!". So, no, I haven't yet worked up the courage to watch Hazel on a weekly basis. Don't know why after almost 30 years straight of watching Hazel (from my tapes for years then on the DVDs I made out of them then finally the commercial DVD versions) that I suddenly in the last couple of years got so irritated at Hazel's actions. I never found her obnoxious before.
I'm currently watching many different classic sitcoms every week (3 different ones a day) and when I run thru all of the episodes of any series that's when I go to another to watch one day a week. I recently got done watching Our Miss Brooks and replaced it with Arnie. So I'm really enjoying Arnie, not having seen it since it was originally on in the early '70's/late '60s. But when one of the series is done I MIGHT start watching Hazel again. Still not sure if I'm ready for indigestion again.:(
