I went to their family meeting and they had three options...
1) Close The Church Once and for All.
2) Sell Part of the Church to a High School that surrounds the church (which in my opinion is the wisest of the options).
3) Say goodbye to our "pastor" and have cameo pastors...but that means we'd throw-in the towel.
I think our church...though Lutheran...should have a talk with a church that is growing and pay rent to us...this is how some public schools make money as we speak...they rent-out the auditorium or gymnasium to an independent/non-denominational church and it helps-out in both ways.
This is why I take it easy on televangelists...they may cry-out for money...but they need to pay their staff and syndication rights. The Crystal Cathedral is an example of how it didn't work-out in the end...they consolidated and went bankrupt in 2010. Now it's called Christ Cathedral and is part of the Catholic Diocese, and the Schuller's Ministries has been downsized.
But the biggest blows that got me steamed is...one...my "pastor" told me "I only see you at family meetings" but it's because your doctrine is a mess...I can even remember televangelists sermons better than what I get at my church...and the televangelists are more into Calvinist/Wesleyan Doctrine rather than Lutheran Doctrine. The other is...my ex-pastor...who had a lot of deals with the high school across the street...took it for granted! We could've saved some money for a rainy day...and I see the rains getting heavier!
If anyone here prays...pray that I get better employment for this decade...the 2020's!
