I was thinking about the word flip. It was used a lot in the Beaver years. For instance a flip at the soda fountain was a cool drink. A flip was how a girl wore her hair like Lesley Gore. To flip out was to pull a nutty. The flip side was the B side of a 45 record. Now we have a whole new way to use flip. Gymnasts do flips but they call them something else. I don’t think we called summer footwear flip flops. Any other flips?

Flip - the process of remodeling and reselling a house for profit.

Flip - for or over a girl or guy, to fall head-over-heels for her or him.

Flip - to turn an object over, such as a pancake while cooking.

Great examples. Imagine someone saying back in the 60’s I’m flipping houses? That’s one flip totally now. How about a flip chart people use in presentations.

I don’t believe I ever had a flip at the soda fountain. We had milk shakes, frappes, ice cream sodas, lime Ricky even root beer floats but a black and white was something I never remember either.
