anyone know why ME TV is skipping so many episodes? They just started showing it Sept. 30th and they're on season 4 already!!

I noticed this also with METV's airings of The Flintstones and I think they are shuffling the episodes by putting the Season 1 and Season 2 and Season 3 episodes on Sundays and a few weeks ago they aired the episode where Pebbles is born but the Season 4 episodes are shown but when the cycle is finished METV will restart the cycle again and air Season 2 and 3 on weekdays but it's very likely that some of The Flintstones episodes are skipped due to issues. I hope METV continues airing The Flintstones because it's fun to watch

Hi, Bestie! I agree with you. METV should keep airing the Flintstones. I wonder if there will be a Thanksgiving episode?

They did skip a season 1 episode. IIRC something to do with a bad Oriental characterization. I hadn't heard aoiut any other skipped episodes.

Tonight's 6 pm episode was supposed to be Bachelor Daze (S4Ep 25). Instead they showed The Little Stranger, an earlier episode from season 3 (S3Ep08) (the mother in law voice sounds like Verna Felton--boy is this old!).

So I wonder what the problem is with Bachelor Daze, all of a sudden.

Today's 6 pm episode was supposed to be "Bedrock Rodeo Roundup." Again they showed a different episode. What's up?

I wonder why they aren't even showing all of the episodes in order.

I think the 2nd episode was a different one, too. The strange thing is, they're the ones who schedule episodes in the TV Guide, then they change them.

Something strange is going on.

I'm curious to know what that is.

Well, they've done it again tonight. This first episode was right, but the second episode subbed "Ladies Day" for "The Gruesomes." I think I remember the Gruesomes--it was pretty funny.

Why not just buy the complete series DVD's? Then you wouldn't have to be aggravated when MeTV skips over episodes. I haven't watched any of the MeTV airings but I imagine the episodes are edited and have scenes missing. The DVD's have uncut episodes except for one, "The Big Move" which is an edited/syndicated version. The complete series DVD can currently be bought on ebay for about $35, not a bad price at all. I have the original individual season sets that were issued from 2004-06.

I hadn't seen this show in so long it wasn't on my radar screen. Now it is, I need to do that.

Would be interesting to know if the current edition of the complete series DVD has corrected the error with "The Big Move" episode. I recorded the uncut episode from the Boomerang channel a few years ago and I'm fine with that.

Follow up comment: Amazon Prime has season 3 of The Flintstones for on line viewing, I checked the episode run times and all of them show 26 minutes except for The Big Move which shows a 23 minute run time. So I guess this means that the DVD's haven't changed and The Big Move is still edited on the DVD. So I'm glad I was able to record the uncut version from Boomerang.

I bought season 3 so I'll let you know for sure. Maybe I can trade you for a Paul Lynde episode or two if it's edited.

I'll never understand this edited episode business when the complete episode is obviously available.

Real quick, another thing--the (saber tooth) cat in the opening and closing credits--did we ever see that cat in any episode?

I see the show at 6pm and in my area Boston the 6:30 show what ever it is, is blocked out by a local news type show. When I click episodes on my Comcast guide it seems every other episode of the Flintstone is to buy for $2.99. I wondered if some were off limits to MeTV.

My recording of The Big Move from Boomerang runs 29 minutes because I left the commercials in. The episode is uncut but it might be time compressed/speeded up just a tad.

I don't recall seeing the cat in any episodes, it might appear briefly in a few of them but overall Dino seems to clearly be the family pet. But yes the cat is seen in the opening and closing credits although seldom if at all seen in the episodes so this is strange.

Did MeTV show these credits? This is from an old syndication film, but these credits appear to be original to the show. I've seen some season 6 episodes on the DVD set, but I haven't seen these credits yet.

I had believed I had seen a certain sequence for a certain episode of this program (named "No Biz Like Show Biz") very similar to the one at this Internet address through a certain TV channel that often appeared to have had programming from this "MeTV" in recent times earlier this calendar year.

The episode with the kids singing is on now again--this is great!

The one where Pebbles and Bamm Bamm sing Let the Sun Shine In, was one MeTV at 6 last night.

Wilma mentioned they were 2 at the time (Pebbles would be nearly 3). They never really "aged" the kids or changed their appearance, and by nearly 3 they'd be walking.

As I recall, there were three episodes in the final season to show the singing Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm during the closing credits about half way through the season (and I believe they weren't three episodes in a row).

The cat (named "Baby Puss") can be seen in four episodes:

The X-Ray Story (season 2)
Nuttin' But the Tooth (season 3)
The Blessed Event (season 3)
Pebbles' Birthday Party (season 5)

No more M-F Flintstone episodes starting May 3rd.
Addams Family will be shown in time slot.
