Murphy spoke to Deadline about why the American Horror Story: 1984 finale made him cry. He also was asked if Season 10 will be set in space. "I’m keeping mum," he said. "It would be hard because it’s called American Horror Story and you’d have to stay within the legal soil limits in order to make that work. We’re working on an idea for season 10 that I think people will love because it’s about reuniting fan-favorite actors to come back — because it might be our last season. It’s the last season we have contracted (https://deadline.com/2019/11/american-horror-story-season-10-spoilers-ryan-murphy-ahs-1984-interview-season-finale-ratched-hollywood-streaming-dates-1202785704/). So, I’ve been quietly reaching out to various people. Some people I haven’t reached out to yet because I was like ‘Do I have a role for them?’ So far, everybody I reached out to said ‘Yes’, so that’s been great."

Leslie Grossman appreciated her "lovely ending" in American Horror Story: 1984 (https://tvline.com/2019/11/14/ahs-1984-finale-ending-explained-margaret-death-interview/)

"I think it was quite appropriate!” she says of her "most perfect" ending.

American Horror Story: 1984's Zach Villa says he didn't see the full season finale script until a few weeks ago (https://www.thewrap.com/ahs-1984-ending-finale-zach-villa-american-horror-story-night-stalker-episode-9-final-girl/)

“Part of it is, I think, they’re trying to get the right sauce from the writers’ room, as they should,” says the actor who portrayed Night Stalker Richard Ramirez. “They have that privilege to really analyze, ‘Oh, eight episodes have been out so far, how do we put a really good nail in the coffin, so to speak, and bring it home? I think as a writer you have to reserve your right to change your mind up until the last second, especially if it’s not the right choice. So luckily there are enough people that it goes through before you’re like, ‘Oh OK, this is the thing we’re gonna do,’ and everybody decides. So I think it was in their best interest, ultimately, to hold it.”
